Hi guys, Swindon Town fan here. News broke last night that Jed McCrory is the front runner to take over at Swindon town, unsure yet whether it is just solely him or whether its a consortium, but any thoughts on what Jed is like?

It's been interesting as he's tried to inject life into a sleeping Lizard(giant to big a word)

It would certainly be a shame if the rumours are true, just looking at the lick of paint and the amount of volunteers coming down and helping along with the results getting better, Jed would be a loss to us I think. Then again can you blame him when he has had a lot of s*** off people when it would seem he is just a genuine guy doing his best to get the club going. Also I have been down the stadium and asked Jed questions and he has always answered straight up, I think most people have found that so I am sure he will update us if and when the time is right, if the rumours are true then he probably wouldn't be able to say anything at this point anyway would he? Not 100% certain of my facts of course but come on Jed you started a great thing here at Banbury don't desert us now... Lets get the whole town behind the club and move on up....

If Jed goes, I would imagine it will leave us struggling to pay the wage bill with a large squad just for starters especially with crowds we are currently getting. The team has turned a corner and is playing well lets hope whatever happens we can hang on to most of the current squad.

I sincerley hope Jed does`nt go he has injected new life into a fast dwindling club that would`nt be here now if not for Jed and things would go down hill very fast if he chose to leave its high time the fans and people of Banbury realised this and started coming down and supporting the club yes we have a large wage bill but then again we dont sign players from dav town and woodford utd no more and we dont have a mangement team on very high players contracts what he has done is brought in top quality players from quality teams so come on folks lets spread the word and get people down the stadium and support the good work Jed is trying to do

Anyone know the rules regarding one person having an interest in the ownership of 2 clubs that don't compete in the same league?
One for Steve T, Shadders or Didier I think.

I'm not sure whether I should be flattered that it is thought that I might have an extensive knowledge of the rules governing the eligibility of directors... Here's a link to the FA's test for owners and directors.

swindon Advertiser says that Jed would be able to hold both roles until the end of the season as long as there is no conflict of interests which there isn't . Whether it affects the finances is another matter, sub 150 crowds on tuesday night are not good.

Lets hope he posts and explains the situation, less than 5 months after taking over and with all the hopes and aspirations for the club it will all seem a bit pointless, probably will put us right back where we were before he took over.

Actually sad if true, as the team are now looking pretty good. Need to hear from Jed really. He is obviously very ambitious, and a league team must be a better bet than the puritans, which is actually sad but is true
Perhaps Banbury will be a feeder/academy club for Swindon
The rollercoaster season continues

It has definitely been a strange old season! The proposed Swindon Town takeover bid is top story on BBC1 South Today (Oxford feed) at 6.30pm tonight!
