Can that be right sparky, cause didier is never wrong.... Trust me redduke64, didier has been wrong sooooo many times and no doubt will continue to be on the odd occasions ! ;D One point though from the BBC web-site " The group, who will write off most of the club's £13m debt, is understood to be led by Banbury owner Jed McCrory" contradicts what sparky says but .....

Thanks for posting Jed. Think we all need to wait for Friday night, lets hope all becomes clear. Jed might not be 'owning' Swindon, but just be involved. Many people all over the world are directors of more than one company. We await tomorrow ............

I thought prem club supporters were fickle but the majority of you lot take the biscuit. Im new to Banbury this season, and ive been to most home games and a few away. During that time ive heard repeatedly Jed, the manager , and most impotantly the team being slated. Yet win a game your dreaming of the playoffs and promotion. I posted around Christmas time about the youth and inexperience of the majority of the squad, and the fact that given time they will come good as there is an abundance of young talent. The new regime has only been involved a matter of months, if you expect miracles then get real !!!!!!. Banbury are heading in the right direction both on and off the pitch, so try starting to support the club instead of knocking it. Ps I exclude the majority of the die hard 150 or so fans who turn up through thick and thin and do genuinly care and support. But where are the towns people when top of the league leamington etcetc get battered by the puritans ?. Certainly not at the ground watching.... Whatever happens to you Jed good luck, And as a chap that watched swindon for a few years i can assure you they are a fantastic club with fantastic supporters

'Yet win a game your dreaming of the playoffs and promotion'
Afraid I can't agree with this comment,at no time this season have I heard any such comment made, I am one of the faithful so a realist and am grateful that we are keeping our heads above water, but just when we are striving for stability another bombshell appears.I obviously don't know where you may have heard these comments but it certainly was'nt from the diehards. With regard to the good folk of Banbury, historically we might as well not have existed, the town support has been p**s poor for years. The problem being that most who come down now and again are the 'I told you so brigade',see us have a bad game and presume it's always the same and go round telling everybody else.

I'm also a regular and have never mentioned promotion, just enjoying the young talent. Don't think I've seen so many good players in a season, been some great goals too!!

Have to agree with the last few posts, positive at last ;D ;D. I've been watching Banbury for many years and finally this year my kids have a local team their proud to talk about. Jed is slowly changing the residents of Banbury's perception of the football team. I have people at work talking about the team, some good and some bad but at least their talking about the team. Banbury United mentioned on BBC News when was the last time that happened?? Keep the faith and I've still not given up on the play offs, mad i know but you've got to dream!!

But where are the towns people when top of the league leamington etcetc get battered by the puritans ?. Certainly not at the ground watching.... First of all Anton,as a new supporter welcome to the club,i understand your post completely and as someone who is relatively new to games at the Stadium it is good to have a new perspective of what you hear and see,as a die hard i am well used to the moaners and doom mongers, but i think you will find them at every club, especially non league, most of them actually do care but let frustration get the better of them,as for people of the Town supporting the club then that is a battle we have waged for years,i think most people connected with the club have banged their heads against brick walls trying to get people interested, but the only thing that will get the Banbury public interested is a winning team challenging for promotion, good cup runs etc, history has proven this, this season has been a culture shock for everyone and the club has been turned upside down, but most of us know that it had to happen for the club to have any hope of success, but i think you will find that the huge majority of Banbury fans are backing Jed and looking forward to an exciting future,in a way this Swindon story has made people realise what we actually have got and don't want to lose, football is all about opinions, the takeover has had it's ups and downs, but i think it really is coming together now and we are on the verge of becoming a really good side capable of much bigger things,i think a lot of people are watching from a distance to see how things unfold, once they see the team at the top end of the table then they will come.

well I am not surprised with all the speculation and Jed will put us all in the picture tomorrow night the best he can with all the red tape and will tell us whatever he is leagally abliged to tell us jed has asked the f a for special dispensation to have interest in two clubs if they do not give it he WILL not be leaving BANBURY UNITED and Swindon town will e sold to others jed has banbury in his heart and no matter what most moaners think he will not leave unfinished bussiness it just aint him trust me I have worked along side him at the club since the day he walked into it and if report are correct that he has 14 million in spare cash urning a ig hole in his pocket just think where Banbury united will be over the next few years enough said

yes we have a large wage bill but then again we dont sign players from dav town and woodford utd no more Although they haven't won a game yet, there are still some decent young players at Woodford that should not be overlooked because they are playing for a cr@p team against generally older, more experienced players. The players you had from us were generally poor and on their way down rather than up.

On the subject of town support - the prob is historical. I agree and feel that the football over the past 3 months is as good as has been seen at Banbury for years. But as sparky says there are too many knockers ( in a football sense) in the town. Take last season - SLC final and Brackley within days. People came and saw 2 dreadful performances, walked away saying 'same old Banbury'
Need strong home form and success to get people back, home performances are good lets hope success is round the corner
