He has put out a statement on Twitter through the Townend reds Twitter page.
Thank you very much mr Wilson and the board.
Embarrassing
Make no mistake, they want us down.
McKay says the decision to get rid of Louis hall and other news that will come out (I’m led to believe this is maye to rushall) led to his decision, he feels the club aren’t doing everything they can to try avoid the drop and felt he couldn’t be a part of that anymore.

Next four matches: Scunthorpe A, Curzon Ashton A, South Shields H, Hereford H.
Lose all of those to set a new club record of 10 successive league defeats in a season. Place a bet and give the winnings to the club to service the debt...

What on earth is going on ? I fear that we are in a financial mess, I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Loss of income from all the Saturday games and lower crowds on a Tuesday night will have impacted revenue coming in. Perhaps cutting costs by releasing players on higher wages such as Louis Hall, (Simeon if gone per rumours) also has been necessary.
Need to save and consolidate and if going down a level then that is not what the fans want, but to ensure the club is in a better financial position going forward necessary.
Strange letting Ethan go on loan when he looked reasonable, and perhaps get Tope back from his Loan, but if funds are down, costs cutting is necessary, just agree members need to be kept in the loop. See what else comes out in the wash later today.

There's a big difference between short-term cash flow caused by postponements and a programme of managed decline.

From: banburyunitedfc.proboards.com/thread/3616/darloFantastic spirit from Craig. Hope he can stay till end of season. KW probably does not have a backroom team. Hope he will be able to use his experience and contacts to bring in the extra players that are needed. I hope the board have listened to his two post-match interviews. It's rare to hear someone in football talk so clearly, simply and honestly and with such sincerity and optimism, unlike so many interviews which are cliché-ridden monologues delivered in a tone suggesting the interviewee's house is about to be repossessed and his family made homeless. However, there was a gentle warning in there. Don't lose this one, Banbury. And they did...

"Craig submitted his resignation before the meeting took place."
How about responding with "We'd like you to stay." If McKay had been allowed to run the team until the end of the season and we'd still been relegated, I don't think it would have counted against him given the circumstances.

The 2 people who need to come out and make are a statement are the most quiet.
Wasn't that announcement altered, sure it read differently at first glance?

But if lack of cash is behind this then surely we would have given Hereford the 800 tickets from the off Lack of initiative, worries about practicalities of one-off arrangements? I see there are some comments on the Town End Reds Twitter along the lines of "Over my dead body" to the giving up of the Town End for a couple of matches. If it brings in enough extra cash to offset the deficit, then it has to be done. As arrangements are now, a third of the Town End has been lost. Hereford are entirely capable of bringing 600-800 but would Tamworth match that? Away support (the only data I have; evening matches with a*): Scunthorpe 249*, Hereford 235, Scarborough 181, Southport 115, Boston 91*. They'll probably have the title settled by then and could well have had the trophy presentation the week before at home. However, the last away game has become a big day out for many supporters.
