Don't write off Tiverton, who did the double over Salisbury this season. Evesham took Salisbury all the way tonight. They had a man sent off before half-time, went a goal down just after, equalised, saw their keeper save a penalty in the first period of extra-time only to lose to another one in the last minute of the second.
Don't fancy Barton at Farnborough but Hitchin might turn Leamington over, having already taken 4 points from them.
Elsewhere, Rushden's Banbury Old Boys won't be visiting next season as they lost at Witton, who now play the surprise package Spalding who could be placed in SLP if they win up there.

Sorry, only came back into the United fold last season after 30 odd years. Looking at NL South and North would I be correct in saying that of the current relegation placed teams only Worcester would be placed in the Southern League so there'd be some re-jigging required to even the number of teams in the three step 7 leagues?

There are transfers of clubs between regional divisions in most years, although they're much more common at the level below Banbury. However, relegated Gosport were promoted from the Southern League and are more likely to be placed back in it than to go to the Isthmian.
We'll have a clearer picture after this weekend's Step 3 and 4 play-off finals but the make-up of all the divisions won't be announced until the second or third week in May, after the Step 2 finals (though it might be before if the outcome of them doesn't affect the geography of the divisions).

These might interest you. They are projections for next season's line-ups. The chap who compiles them has a pretty good record of forecasting which regional divisions clubs will be placed in. Presumption is that the highest-placed club in the play-offs wins through. goo.gl/t7dNP8

There have been seasons where the allocation process has bordered on the chaotic with so many resignations, demotions and appeals that the line-ups were not settled until the league AGMs in June. In 2009-10, in the 12 divisions of the Conference, Southern, Isthmian and Northern Premier leagues, ten clubs dropped out, resulting in reprieves for half of the clubs finishing in the 34 relegation places. There were ten reprieves the following year. That won't happen this time but keep an eye out for Leyton Orient.

If only mismanaged former bankrupt reformed clubs were excluded. :-(

If only the likes of Farnborough,Hereford and Salisbury were not in the picture as they should't be, just makes next season a bigger challenge for us, that said every team is there to be beaten.

You can add Chester, Halifax, Nuneaton and King's Lynn to the list of clubs who have got off lightly, though at least Lynn haven't gone back to their high point as if little had happened.

That's why it's a shame we didn't really seem to go for it at the end of the season. Hope we can turn them all over next season, should be interesting.

Worcester lost today so unless something out of the ordinary happens it looks like we'll be playing them in a league fixture for the first time in 40 years.

Tiverton beat Salisbury so there is some justice.
Leamington win after extra time.

Hitchin led until the 88th minute then had a man sent off in conceding the penalty from which Leamington equalised.
The treasurer might not be so pleased with their win. Stratford is now our nearest game.

That something was Worcester's 'secret' resignation from the National League at the beginning of March. With their subsequent relegation, the FA League Management Committee has declared that Worcester will play next season in the Midland League Premier Division (ex Alliance), a three level drop.

One consequence of this is that two clubs that were four levels apart last season will now meet next season twice on the same ground. Worcester are tenants at Victoria Park, the home of Bromsgrove Sporting who were promoted from Division One.
