Bloody spineless by the FA!!
Their club statement:-
The Club are pleased to announce that the FA Committee have ordered the replay of the match against Banbury United next Saturday 25 November, with the winners to play the following round either the next Tuesday or Wednesday 28/29 November.
The Club pleaded guilty to not fulfilling the fixture (as clearly we didn’t) but having shown the mitigating circumstances, the FA ordered the game to be replayed, no fine or costs were ordered against the Club and we are grateful to the committee.
We look forward to the re-arranged fixture on Saturday.

Still in the competition. Get to play Saturday instead of mid week, no fine or costs. They done a job on us, and the fa.
Outrageous.
Going to be a toxic atmosphere Saturday.

So after all that, they get rewarded with a Saturday tie, no fine or cost covering. The FA are a disgrace.
Someone has to cover the cost of Tuesday abandonment, we fulfilled the fixture yet WE are getting punished for it!!
Gutted I can’t make Saturday now!!!!

What is the point of having a governing body if they are not prepared to take any action at all, only hope is that we put the record straight and ensure they don't progress to the next round. could be a very interesting game. Also means we will now have to play them midweek away

Also I bet we have no chance of appeal correct. absolutely shocking from the f.a. if we're honest then we probably expected the game to be replayed, but for them to have absolutely no repercussions and for us to still have to cover the costs of the night is an absolute disgrace. just as a side note, man Utd were fined 5000 pounds by the fa for being 15 minutes late for the spurs game.

Farnborough forum: www.notabadname.org.uk/index.php?t=msg&th=5940&start=0&
"I suspect the conspiracy theorist assumed that because Banbury were playing Farnbrough that all of the Farnborough players live and work in Farnborough. Er, no. There are good reasons why Dover Athletic hold training sessions in SE London and, until recently, King's Lynn Town trained in Peterborough, which was a good half-way house for Lynn's local players and those based in the East Midlands."
Perfectly well understood by most up here that players might be coming from elsewhere.
"Well, despite the Oxfordshire-based conspiracy theories, a road accident shutting down the transport link was hardly our fault. Should be treated the same way as a waterlogged pitch or force majeure, and has been. Sanity prevails. Unfortunate for the winners they won't get a(nother) home Sat game but some things aren't under anyone's control."
It would indeed be silly to suggest something was cooked up over a day or two but I think there's a very high possibility that once they knew they wouldn't be able to get 11 on the field at 7.45 they made sure there weren't 7 in the ground at 8.45, hence the early 'announcement' of the postponement. Just a phone call or two was required...
And it would be nice to think that Hartley Wintney will put their rearranged league game back to Saturday from Wednesday. Go on boys. Make the gesture.

Sympathy for Banbury here but also annoyance that HW now have to travel midweek. Funnily enough, there are no objections to having to travel midweek to an away league game that was brought forward because of the FAT tie that now won't be played on a Saturday...and the added advantage of that free Saturday is noted.

An absolutely disgraceful decision by the FA!,do they not realise that they potentially have opened the flood gates for other teams in the future to pull a fast one like Farnborough did! ,look at Merthry at the weekend, serious problems at the club yet they still managed to put a team on the field, they are a credit to the league and put Farnborough to shame, have to be careful what i say as feelings are running high, one thing is for sure,Farnborough players will be walking into a cauldron on Saturday!

Shocking decision. But we must not let them get away with it on the pitch, we have to win this game! This must be our full focus now.
I have no doubt the fans will make the farnborough players feel very uncomfortable when they (finally) step out on the famous spencer pitch!

Interesting from the Farnborough forum, comments like that are hardly conciliatory. I hope the ref allocated for Saturday is stronger than some recently seen.
