We havent got a Goal Scorer, Simple as that, since Nabil Shariff left, weve struggled to find the net, stoney's going through a bad patch at the moment, every forward has it, felt Stoney took the negative comments pretty well, and got on with the game, he''ll score next week againts Ady Mings's team and you'll all be liking him again

Lack of effort, and lack of passion, only when Maddox went up in the second half did we look dangerous. The money shot moment was Ashton taking a corner while Joe and Stone were negotiating the corner. Ashton's a liability,Marvin looks disintersted,Stony, god knows, but thanks to favoritism we've got a relegation fight.Touche....billy.

Bl***y awful today.
Halesowen had some appalling players - their No 3 was shocking. They are not a run of the mill bottom of the table side, the club has huge problems and that they can muster a side at all seems a huge achievement. Yet they were good enough to beat us.
No idea what the answer is save for some changes to personnel.
I see Bashley beat Truro today and Tuesday looks bleak.
Hemel have gone above us and Weymouth aren't going to roll over, great win for them against Salisbury.

What is this doing for the club's finances? No cup money and the league average down to 259, the lowest since returning to the SL in 2000 (previous lowest was that first season, 264). Of the remaining visitors, only Weymouth are likely to bring more than 20-30, although more than a coachload might come with Truro on the last Saturday if they are still in for the title.

That was the worst game since we came back up from the Hellenic. Fair play to Halesowen, they deserved the victory, but they were awful. We were never going to score, Stoney wasn't interested and Marvin looked lost. We look to be heading for a relegation battle, which is a shame. Billy is doing a great job in bringing in new faces, but as a team we are just not gelling. There is no doubt we have got some good players, but they seem to lack team spirit. I heard before the game that the Halesowen players don't get paid a penny, well all you can say is well done to them for putting in a battling performance on the back of such a heavy loss last week. They look certainties for the drop, but I fear we may well be down there with them.

RIGHT! 24 hours to calm down! In the last five games we have scored one goal in the 91st min against a Hellenic Div1 side! say no more!!! The middle players are so deep we will never put teams under a lot of pressure to score goals! A one time in the second half the two forwards & two wingbacks were out by the stand and our three defenders were in the 18yd box, no midfield players anywhere near! whats going on?? We are in deep trouble now, our only hope is only 3 going down, they were another poor side who we made look good !!! Where's the passion gone, towards the end our players were having a go at each other! Come on Billy sort it out before it's to late! Could have said a lot more!!! RANT OVER

Looking at the remaining games,it's not looking great, trips to 4 of the top 6,and no gimme's in the home games.prob only 2 down, but if we cannot score and lack leadership all over the park where's the next win coming from.Time to ditch the marvin experiment, whats happened to Hynes,he looked like he gave a toss, which is more of some of the first eleven at the moment.

The Oxford Mail report sums it up perfectly.

The disturbing thing for me is the inability to score, having been to Tiverton it was ours to lose and we did,the game against the russians was played differently and both teams largly cancelled each other out but against Halesowen nobody seemed to have any idea what they were doing,Jack Ashton was a good player before he left but should he walk straight back into the side,I don't know if Staff is carrying an injury or not but he should start, and the Marvin option up front does'nt work.I know we bemoan Jason Taylor but perhaps David Stone would play better off him.We have said before that with a young squad we do as well as we can but these players now should be gaining more experience and be able to raise their game. The only defence for Saturday was that Halesowen were going to have a go because of their position at the moment and unless our boys don't pull themselves together we will be in the same position sooner rather than later.

Is anyone going to complain that the BG hasn't yet posted a report of the game on its website? In this week's printed BG, the report ought to be four pages in, underneath the classified ads offering vintage Morris Marinas for sale, though I suspect the result of tomorrow's game will probably influence its degree of prominence.

I thought Top Gear had destroyed all the remaining Morris Marinas by dropping them from Helicopters. Good to know some still remain unscathed.
