Club statement issued this morning:
"A meeting was held at the club after yesterday's home game, the purpose of which was to update the supporters on progress since the last meeting.
A number of debt management options were discussed in detail which prompted considerable debate amongst all those in attendance.
In light of next Wednesday's (2nd February) fast approaching High Court hearing at which HMRC will seek to have their winding-up petition against the club enforced it was concluded by chairman Peter Simpson that the petition would not be opposed. Regrettably therefore the club will cease to exist after this date.
There was considerable determination and resolve amongst those present to form a new club, which will continue to play at Stag Meadow.
Further details will follow as soon as they are known."

Well it just goes to demonstrate that you reap what you sow. Small club with big club mentality. My sympathies only extend to the supporters of the club, those responsible for the debt should never be allowed back into football.

Thats a bit harsh on Didcot.only 3 down now,and with a lot of apathy amongst supporters as a relegation battle looks unlikely, crowds are unlikely to improve.

W & E will be the fourth club to go this season from Steps 1-4. Others: Ilkeston Town, FCN; Bromsgrove Rovers, SL1S&W (lined up but didn't start, if you see what I mean); Leyton, IL1N.
More fun and games for the FA's leagues committee at the end of the season.

It is with great sadness that I received confirmation from the Football Association that Windsor & Eton FC had been wound up in the High Court on Wednesday 2 February 2011. The Board of Directors will consider at the earliest opportunity all the ramifications of the Club no longer being in Membership of the League and make any adjustments to playing records in accordance with the Rules as soon as possible.
