Not Banbury but Kettering, who have signed Jon Edwards from St. Ives. They've also signed former Celtic, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Hooper. Admittedly, he's 36 but he continues (revives?) the tradition of ex-pros dropping down into the non-league game. Nile Ranger is also on their books, so they're not short of quality forwards.
Their FA Cup run has guaranteed them £35,625 so far plus the TV fee (unknown as yet) for their game at Northampton. They'll land another £26K if they win that. Even at this stage they must be emerging favourites for the division. Their attendances so far: 889, 912, 1596, 844, 930, 986. They'll easily improve on that if they continue as they are.
Weather permitting, Banbury's home game against them at the start of December isn't at risk from cup commitments – it's a Trophy day but Kettering are out of that.

They already have: 1,439 and 1,551 Saturday and last night.
With their FA Cup money, they're probably favourites for the division even at this stage.
