Formed as long ago as 1896. In the 20th century had long spells in the United Counties and Midland leagues before joining the Southern League in 1998. Transferred to the Northern Premier League in 2007 and played at both levels of that league until 2023 when promoted to Step 3 as champions of the First Division Midlands and returned to the SL. In 2014 the club moved from its cramped Kettering Road ground to a new stadium on the eastern side of the town. Wins this season against Stourbridge (2nd), Harborough (13th), Biggleswade (20th) and Hitchin (bottom). A game that at times could have gone either way against a physical big side, that said apart from a few goalmouth scrambles neither keeper had much to do the penalty miss in the first half could have been costly but we are seeing a team now that does not give up. The goal was well worked and finished off by Reilly at a tight angle to win a well deserved three points against an unbeaten up till now side. Forgot to add how utterly hopeless the referee was and the linesman at the Sutton End.

Another good performance. Really looking like a team, great togetherness. Still early days, but we could be onto something with these players.

778 is an impressive attendance this early on. In the promotion season, Banbury didn't reach 700 until December against Coalville (701), the 11th match (and that was only because of a good turnout from the visitors). The next match was Stratford on Boxing Day (1,221).
The total after three matches is 1,768. In 21-22 it was 1,556 (and with more visitors).
To TownEnd Reds on Twitter who wrote: "That must be the first time since 22/23 that we've had over 700 home fans in the ground." Actually, last season – certainly Brackley (1,068), probably Buxton (788), and possibly Scunthorpe (912).

First visit this season for me and although it wasn’t the greatest of games against a tight physical outfit , I enjoyed my day . No segregation No intimidating stewards No Police Long may it continue
