A great win, the team battled well and showed moments of quality but the most important thing that happened today the connection between the team and the fans was finally restored. A great atmosphere behind the goal celebrating with the players at the end.
As for the officials, without a doubt the worst I’ve experienced in my 20 odd years following the club. Truly awful to the point it become suspicious at the end the things that were happening.
As for Alvechurch they got what they deserved, nothing.

Can anyone who went elaborate on what took place yesterday please. Richard batchelors (the very lovely former rushall player now at church) brother was stood around the side basically having a go at all the Banbury fans as we walked to exit the ground, to be exact he was walking up into people’s faces screaming “does anyone want a straightner” he then proceeded to start throwing punches at anyone who walked by him, he didn’t take the loss very well and I think all the singing and celebrating with the players at full time wound him up! I believe he caused similar at rushall when we’ve been there before. I know we’ve had a bad rep recently but this was totally down to 1 guy being a complete chavvy moron and thankfully everyone witnessed it including board members hence the statement, there was no troublemakers supporting Banbury monday (I think we’ve put all that behind us now) you can see from all the videos it was good old fashioned passionate Banbury support Exactly how non league should be! not a single steward present at Alvechurch ground either which was surprising! And I think it’s to our supporters credit (even the ones that were assaulted) there was no reaction to him |
