I've been told that a £70K debt was run up last season. A loss was expected but I'm surprised it's as much as that, even taking into account the weather. If it was a £70k debt then it comes as no surprise when you think back to postponements and the subsequent lower attendances when the games were eventually played... I did make that point!

www.banburyunitedfc.co.uk/news/members-pack-the-room-for-egm-and-meet-the-manager-2855627.htmlRelocation has been debated on here more than once recently with some supporters asking 'Where will we go?' as though the allocated plot at Bodicote was no longer available. I started a thread 'New stadium' and invited forum members to name a site but no one responded. I've deleted it now that the EGM appeared to confirm that 'Banbury 12' is still the option. It's shown on the attached map from the local plan, with an enlargement showing the stadium area. That's just under 7 acres, enough for a decent sized stadium and about 350 parking spaces but no training area. It is assumed that the club will have to use the adjacent public facilities. NB The black-bordered area at the top of the enlargement shows the 12-acre site that was originally allocated to the club.

Agreed, Bodicote does look to be the likely site. However, it is many years away from being ready for a football stadium. At the moment it is still a farmers field !!! I can't see us relocating there any time soon. I will be amazed if it happens in my lifetime.

The report on the EGM offers only this as reassurance: "The club is working with its landlord to ensure that our next lease covers the transition period required for relocation."
