Not going our way tonight, being dragged back towards the drop zone, the Rushall game is a huge one now and we need a result Saturday.

A point from either of these two away games would have been a bonus but whatever the results, King's Lynn winning at Brackley wasn't in the calculations. D'Ath sent off and Elliot-Wheeler injured makes it even worse. This was the position three weeks ago after beating Darlington, with results since. 16 Banbury 29 36 DLL 17 Buxton 30 35 WWW 18 Rushall 30 34 LD 19 Spennymoor 27 32 DWLWW 20 Southport 28 32 LLWLW 21 King's Lynn 31 29 WW 22 Gloucester 30 28 LLLDL 23 Darlington 29 25 LLWL 24 Bishop's S 30 17 LL

Regret to say new manager ....same old. Not a single shot on target. Alfreton is a tough place to go but it is now essential to bring better players in. The youngsters are struggling.

It all seemed promising with those 2 matches led by Craig McKay, didn't it? The postponements appear to be having a really bad effect with continuity.

Certainly no doubt, we are now involved in a relegation battle. Saturdays game must be in some doubt. We are going to have such a backlog of games. Things are not looking bright. Fingers crossed 🤞 that we can survive.

Have to say I was surprised about some comments about staying up after the two wins and a draw and although we now have a change of manager there is still no magic wand to put things right. Hopefully there will be news on the player front to improve things but it is still going to be challenging.

We might have a new manager, but was he the right one, or would we of been better of letting Craig carrying on taking the team and maybe got KW in as a director of football role to support the playing side.
Not being critical, but he’s been out of management for nearly a decade and I think it’s showing, particularly in his interviews. The games moved on, and I can’t see how he is going to truly connect with this group of players, all the feedback I’m getting is the last 2 games we’ve looked a disjointed mess, Chester full credit to the lads for hanging in there, but that was daylight robbery us getting a point, another day Chester score 4/5
And as for our “captain”….
Should add, I do completely understand the base level is we are just simply a poor team this season, but I think in those 2 games v Scarborough and darlo the players just seeem to find something extra, and were reacting to the energy Craig was bringing to the touch line

Saturdays game must be in some doubt. We are going to have such a backlog of games. Only three midweek slots left. It's the lack of day league games that's the problems re. finances. So far this season there's been one gap of 7 weeks and 3 of 4 weeks (assuming Saturday's game goes ahead). Last season had more postponements but some were for cup matches. There were a couple of gaps of 5 weeks but in each was a Trophy game. So far this season: 9 day, average 717; 6 evening (2 rearrangements) 527.

PS Take out the Scunthorpe game and the evening average is 450.
