As we're all now confident that Banbury will survive in NLN, it's time to look at next season's projections based on the current league tables. Leaving the division is as it stands – the top two promoted, the bottom four relegated and it's been like that for a while. It's who comes in that's a bit more interesting. Radcliffe are well placed to win the NPL while Needham Market are top on ppg in SLPC. Play-off contenders are Marine, Hyde, Warrington Rylands, Worksop, Macclesfield, Guiseley and Whitby in the NPL and Redditch, Mickleover, Leamington, Stratford, Stamford and Telford in the SL. Hyde and Guiseley have been in the national division previously, Worksop and Redditch at Step 2.
Relegation from the national division looked quite simple for some time with last season's four promoted Step 2 clubs (Oxford City, Ebbsfleet, Fylde and Kidderminster) looking to be heading out. Phil Brown then turned up Kidderminster and they've won four in a row since he arrived. They're still in the relegation places on ppg but not for much longer if their recovery continues. Fylde might come back down but with Dorking and Woking also now in trouble along with Ebbsfleet and Oxford City, there is a possibility of southern-based clubs having to go north, the most likely being Oxford if relegated, with Needham Market going into the southern section if promoted.
