Great to see Kevin Wilson take the Banbury job. Certainly has a wealth of football experience and must have plenty of (northern) contacts from his player consultancy/agent work. Only slight worry is the fact he has been out of day-to-day club management for quite a few years, but am sure he will do a great job for us.

I so well remember standing on the terraces and watching Kevin absolutely destroy our arch rivals Witney single handedly. It was the best performance I have ever witnessed by a Banbury player. Ever since I've had a dream that one day he would return to us in a senior position. At long last my dream has come true!! Kevin is a proven manager, a man with literally hundreds of contacts. I honestly don't believe we could have got anyone better. We have landed ourselves with an outstanding football man. Let's enjoy the ride!!!

Could this have been the same game Witney’s Trevor Stokes scored an own goal and turned to us at the town end as if to say are you all happy now with a huge smile on his face.

Could this have been the same game Witney’s Trevor Stokes scored an own goal... Yes. Hugh Curran, Wilson and Stokes were the scorers. Banbury's good start to that season faded into nothing...

I will never forget that game. They say "one player doesn't make a team ",well he did that day!! Kevin was unbelievable.

It would be nice if Kevin gave Kelvin Langmead a chance as an assistant and also gave Craig a prominent role. I believe that Sports Connexion used (or still does) to represent both Kelvin Langmead and ex-Banbury goalkeeper Brandon Hall.

...Banbury will give us a game on Saturday – but an early goal for them will mean they will efficiently park the proverbial bus. If we can get an early one, I would think anyone attending will see a goal fest.
