I see we have signed a new full back. Yet again with Oxford City history. I sincerely hope that he proves to be a great signing and improves things on the pitch. BUT, you have to question the managers contacts. Will we only sign new players if they have been discarded by City ?

Goes back to the original issue of taking on a manager with no northern area connections. Surely the first season in should have told the board something but as I have said before we don’t know who else applied at the time so the current incumbent may have been the only real choice.

The club should have stuck with Billy Jeffrey or Fordy if all we want is negative football played by City rejects.

At least the lad has some experience of football north of Nottingham so he'll be used to the hard men of the hills trying to knock the southern softie out of him.
