EDIT: Not all Banbury, of course, just picked from the list. Four cases from Newport Pagnell Town FC - that's quite a number.

For a fee.. Good business by those muppets. Surely we've been caught with our pants down.

Not necessarily a fee, more like 'a bit of compensation' if he had it written into his contract that Br***ey would have to let him go for 'xyz' if a Football League came in for him ? Not a dig at anyone at all but the book Done Deal by Daniel Geey is highly recommended if you want to know how football deals/contracts work

And having found it, I've since been informed (not by Didier) that the club's failure to put some players on 'retainers' cost us their signatures and/or compensation. Williams, Babos and Landers have been named. They might well have been on the books at the start of the season. Had they then been signed up later by another club, BU might have benefitted by anything up to ÂŁ30,000. In the meantime, they might have helped earn enough points to make us safe. Someone failed badly here.

And a PS to that is that Mark Jones and Kevin Wilson are, in a sense, the victims of the failures of others.

Mark Jones - following the most successful Manager in a Club's history is an unenviable task but even more so with the timing of his appointment (eg mid close season with virtually no signed players)
Kevin Wilson - legends shouldn't return to clubs as Manager in my opinion, it rarely ends well - Director of Football to help with support for McKay yes but Manager no.

Chickens come home to roost for a few, bringing up things some people shouted about years ago. We all observed. Over and out
