Disappointing to say the least losing to yet another lower placed team. Only Blyth can overtake us mathematically.Still a bit tight at the bottom end but we should be okay.

If Blyth don't win at Farsley on Tuesday, Banbury are safe.
Much talk on the radio after the game about the size of the squad and the lack of strikers. AW was frustrated, saying Banbury had enough openings to win but wasted them.
Had Banbury held on to Morgan Roberts for a bit longer or been able to keep Jack Stevens fit, they'd have had their 52 points before February was out. Apparently Roberts was at a recent home game, sitting in the stand. Has he played any 'proper' first-team football since leaving?

1 win in 12 games against bottom 6. It is very dispiriting at times

1 win in 12 games against bottom 6. It is very dispiriting at times or perhaps a more realistic view should be taken eg that "we're punching above our weight with our part-time squad and relatively low budget in a higher league" makes where we are a fantastic achievement ?

The first 10 games after Morgan left he was on the bench and got some decent game time when coming on. Then went on loan to Alfershot and not sure if he played at all. Since going back to Swindon he played a county cup match and has not been in the squad for any league matches. I would guess he will go out on loan next season but Banbury probably can’t afford his wages

On reflection, nail on the head David, hopefully with extra revenue we will be able to build a stronger squad for next season,if we can source one or two decent strikers we will progress a lot better, in perspective ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ as frustrated as we all feel when we lose.

Its interesting with our small squad why aren't the dual registration players all called back. Hewitt scored twice yesterday, and im sure Jack Hickman and Josh Dugmrore would have been useful in these last 5 or 6 games. Very odd.

Like I said before this so called "dual registration" is nonsense. You couldn't get more of a precarious situation where these players are needed than now and we don't call them back !! Basically you may as well say they have left. Hewitt certainly should be playing for us.

I totally agree, Hewitt should be playing for us. There is another lad at North Leigh, I think his name is Thomas, he must be worth consideration for next season.
