From the e-mail to members: "This meeting will update members on the lease of the ground and forward planning."
Is anyone in the know?

Peterborough Sports have been in the news recently in respect of finances (featured on here at banburyunitedfc.proboards.com/thread/3459/clubs-budgets) and because of improvements needed at their ground. One of their supporters has written this on NLM: We at Peterborough Sports as a club have received a lot of criticism over social media over the past two weeks, because we have an extension until the end of April. We were told by the league, we needed segregation gates, another turnstile, increase in seats by 50, and increase general capacity. One of our "red alerts" given by the league at the start of the season was proper toilet facilities for away supporters. There were no signs of this "red alert" at Banbury when I visited on Monday, just 3 portaloos. Are they getting an extension, or even demoted? Plus their new stand wasn't even ready to use, so missed the 31st March deadline for that to be ready.www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/forums/index.php?threads/climbing-the-pyramid-too-quickly-problem-at-peterborough-sports.9371/page-5#post-203959

Bit worrying, hopefully Ronnie and the board are on top of things.

Possibly to discuss changes to where away fans are placed next season. But news on potential new ground developments would be good.
Be positive rather than negative

As I see it the comments about our facilities are a tad scathing, although the new seating area hasn’t been officially opened it is there, an additional turnstile and segregation gates/fencing were installed awhile ago, the only valid point is the lack of extra toilet facilities. Segregation I believe is one of the areas that will be under review. As the old saying goes ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’

I've had a look at the grading documents again and the requirements haven't changed – any club promoted to Step 2 has three seasons to reach the grading for that level (B) but cannot be promoted to Step 1 without having the 'B' grading by March 31st in the season of promotion i.e. for Banbury to take part in this season's play-offs, the ground would have to have its grading by now. As for toilets: "Toilets must be located within the ground and must be accessible both to male and to female spectators. Such toilets need not be in a dedicated toilet block, but must be in addition to those used by people using the clubhouse. The following minimum toilet facilities must be provided in total, excluding those located in any clubhouse:
Male: Four urinals or equivalent and two WCs Female: Two WCs
When segregation is in operation, there must be adequate toilet facilities and refreshment facilities in each segregated area in addition to the appropriate means of entry and exit. Individual toilet units, often known as 'portaloos', are permissible on a temporary basis but may not be included in the minimum toilet requirements."Does that imply that another two seasons of portaloos are permitted? www.thefa.com/get-involved/player/ground-grading

Club will definitely leave the stadium
Options offered which imo are all very challenging.
With all the will on the world the position of the club in 2/3 years may be perilous.
Time for the council, sports organisations, charities and stray millionaires to come to the fore.

Have to hope our useless Council gets its act together if they want to see a reasonable standard of football remain in Banbury. Up till now it’s all been sound bites with very little substance, remains to be seen if their original assurance that they wouldn’t grant planning permission until we have a new home still holds any credence, on the face of it no at the moment.

Sounds like we’d better enjoy the ride while we can as storm clouds they gather !!

Useless is praise for our local councils when it comes to sports facilities. I don’t see the money or the want within council walls. Worrying times, hope to be proved wrong. 🤞

I can see us ground sharing in two seasons from now. That is very concerning, and could be the end of us. I just can't see how things can move fast enough for us to have a new ground in two years. We need planning and plans before anything can happen. Then road access, and then the actual building of the facility. Having spent many hard years getting to our present situation we could see it all snatched away from us. Very worrying indeed. How many would make the trek to somewhere like Leamington to watch home games?
