The only positive and it’s clutching at straws was the league position and points gap has remained the same. All we have done is delayed Telford demise and to be honest they deserved it, our performance didn’t even rate as inept, why we didn’t come out second half on the charge is beyond me and to concede the winning goal from our corner is ridiculous. Also couldn’t understand why the young lads on the bench didn’t even get a chance to at least have a go. Haven’t got the prayer mat out yet but it’s getting mighty close.

Seems to me he's downing tools. Maybe he's got a new seat next season. That today was no where near at it enough, yes its sometimes harder to play against 10, but have some guts.

Makes me wonder whether they have all given up. Today could not have been more depressing

A couple of personal observations - not pointed towards anyone or any part of the club.
1: Not the manager's fault the goal opprtunities are not going 'our way' 2: Unlikely to win against Darlington - and their 'dander' will be up after the way previous fixture was postponed. Which leads to... 3: Hope there's no trouble. This isn't the time or place to comment on number of police at today's game. But we all know there's and 'element' within the club's support that is being noticed - (possibly heavy-handedly, but that's the way of things it seems) 4: Has the manager used the fixed budget to the best of it's potential? This is not a dig at AW or his team. The maxim is 'if you can't measure, you can't improve'. 5: I'm a touch fed up with the line 'the club is at it's highest level ever and that should be good enough'. Are we now supposed to just accept this as a 'blip' and normal service will be resumed in the Southern League Prem? 6: The new stand looks great and in my mind makes an out of proportion difference to the whole look of the ground. Add an extra non-seated stand to it's right hand side and it will be lovely place to watch football.
Keep the faith and UTP!

This isn't the time or place to comment on number of police at today's game. But we all know there's an 'element' within the club's support that is being noticed. They might also have had an eye on the visitors. Some Telford fans have caused a bit of bother on the road in the recent past.

Dreadful. Playing bottom of the league at home, and they are playing with 10 men. We looked tired and out of ideas. Thankfully other results all went our way,so we are no worse off. The manager desperately needs a bigger squad. Hewitt is playing at North Leigh and scoring, why have we not got him on the pitch for us? We offer nothing up front, constantly passing sideways looking frightened to have a shot. Off the pitch was once again embarrassing. A small element are getting us a terrible reputation.

For what it’s worth I counted 52 members of the Constabulary on my way down to the ground and that didn’t include the mounted section on the way out. Seems there may have been a rumour of some fans from elsewhere not far from Telford who had nowhere better else to go which may have prompted the perceived over the top presence. Probably accounts for why the dead head brigade were present looking for a punch up.

Can the club sort out the stewards absolutely looking for confrontation and inevitably they got it , them getting run out of the town end in the 2nd half was fully deserved

I wasn't solely blaming BUFC supporters. [/quote Neither was I, just pointing out that they are more than likely going to turn up if there is any sniff of a ruck.

That and the fines for the 3 flares set off would probably pay for a new player

Obviously with it being an international weekend there would have been plenty of old bill at a loose end so ultimately ended up at Banbury , complete waste of money and not needed . Horses , dogs , notpermitted drones the taxpayer is picking up the bill . A small police presence is needed , granted but when they turn up on big numbers ( like today ) they just inflame the situation

I suspect the squad is tired which is part of the problem. However, for me AW got the tactics wrong second half. A goal up with Telford down to 10 men, we should have played 2 up front and kept a man on the half way line while defending corners etc.
We let them come at us and once they equalised they looked the more likely to score.
Still I think we will be ok. Keep the faith.

Telford have a large group of Wolves yobs who turn up for big Telford home games - they have also travelled under the Telford banner to organised meets v other league clubs at away non-league matches where travel is easy. That I would suggest is the reason for the large Police attendance yesterday.
Still in shock at Telford's winning goal, that's one of the worst I've ever seen us concede !
