An assist and a goal from Jack Hardingđ, never thought I would type that. I would suppose itâs fair to say the tie was given to Easington because there are more important things to concentrate on. County Cups are now outdated especially the higher up the leagues you progress and we are better off out of it.

The fact is that OSC is really only of interest to Hellenic and OSL clubs. At that level it's great to have the opportunity to reach a cup final at the Kassam. Beyond that level there is no point in taking part. It's a meaningless competition for more senior clubs. One thing that last night has proven is that we desperately need an under 18's/reserve side. Not only for games such as this, but also to ensure that the first team has always got a full bench.

Have to agree about a Reserve/Under 18 side, given the level we have now reached it is more important than ever to have some sort of back up as is being proved by a small first team squad. I appreciate the financial side has to be managed sensibly but we now have to start developing a bit more on the playing side.If the manager doesnât get increased support who knows where that would leave us.

The Kassam has been a bit of a joke from the start, not least the start, stop time it took to build in the first place. The owners intentions were clear from the start by not allowing the stadium to be built on all four sides and so it has proved with the hunt for a new location now in progress.

OFA full of OCFC people or supporters, doesnât sit right with me. Good income on some of these.

Interesting that there is no report on the match on the website yet given the result, perhaps not everyone was happy with the outcome of us not progressing.

Not sure if there is a rift between the chairman and manager. But AW didn't miss with his comments in the press. Even on his interviews. Just seems to me both boats don't seem aligned currently. Has he been supported well enough this season. Just hope he doesn't walk away.

It would seem that in some quarters more importance was placed on this joke competition rather than looking at the bigger picture with a small squad and a fixture backlog, still does'nt explain the lack of a match report.

Some interesting gossip going around that there is a rift between the board and the manager. Hopefully it is nothing more than a stupid rumour.

Some interesting gossip going around that there is a rift between the board and the manager. Hopefully it is nothing more than a stupid rumour. If there is any basis to this rumour I would back the manager all the way, no doubt any friction is probably due to handing the OSC cup to Easington. The boards job is to oversee the general running of the club and provision of funds for the main purpose of having a club which is the team. All on field decisions belong to the management team and it does seem at times that the word Community is being lost somewhere given the good people who have walked away. I understand that the club needs to develope a much more professional way of running things but this should include people who have supported the club for many years and devoted many hours of their own time for the benefit of the club,in recent times this doesnât seem to be the case.
