A forgetful day all round, we didn’t turn up and payed the price, the Ref didn’t lose us the game but his officiating standard was totally woeful. Back in the day we would have called him a homer.

Several incidents in the game the ref got wrong. Scissors challenge foul last man only a yellow! Punch thrown by number 6 just after the above incident. No 4 running and pushing Ben into the hoardings later in the first half. Without all that nonsense, 2nd half Banbury didn't come out. Two soft goals from inswinging corners early first half and very early second half. A draw would have been a fair response. Also the goalie claiming he was racially abused? Don't know what was said to wind him up, no need for any comments towards a player from the fans of anything of that sort! The individuals need to take a look at them self and send an apology.

Bracknell deserve their win - no excuses.
We failed to deal with their corners which lead to both goals and they were a fit, physical side we struggled to contain.
Sorry, but the better team won on the day.
Our new loan striker looked good though!

AW wasn't happy in his post-match interview. "I felt it had been coming," he said, and praised Bracknell to cover his disappointment. A sudden rash of injuries and suspensions hasn't helped his cause. And is the loss of Morgan Roberts still being felt? There'll be even more disappointment if Bracknell get a good draw tomorrow.
Result of the round so far: Coalville's win at Notts County.

As I didn’t attend then I can’t comment either way but it seems some of our followers will be in trouble according to Bracknell Town .They want the fans identified and banned for alleged racial slurs and general bad behaviour.

There was some nonsense going on but I wasn’t close enough to hear if or what was said, suffice to say a fair few had a good sniff of the barmaids apron. As regards the keeper he wasn’t totally innocent with his time wasting tactics. With the higher profile of the club that has happened you will always attract individuals who have no real interest in anything else other than looking for grief.

The reports from the Bracknell game on a % of your ‘fans’ include racial abuse towards one of the defenders, heard by the player and goalkeeper hence the threat for the team to leave the pitch. A further racist series of abuse towards a lady in the cafe and her young son, at least 2 other Bracknell fans were threatened at the game, and a bar maid at the local pub was reportedly abused and had bottles thrown at her .. hence the fans were banned from the pub. All separately reported incidents by different people at the game. Pretty. Bad stuff guys.. shame because I did meet some really nice Banbury fans yesterday, clearly you have a bad minority that need routing out.

I didn’t get a clear view but those right by the incident said that Ben was elbowed in the face and as a result the player involved went down as if he had been shot and one of his team mates waded in, there was also an allegation of a punch being thrown by said player, needless to say the inept referee saw nothing amiss.

Saw a Bracknell fan/official accusing someone of racism. Police officer stood there (total of 4 at game,( not CSO) who did nothing. Read into that what you want. Was stood to side of goal all game and personally saw or heard nothing. There were definitely some Banbury fans pretty well gone with alcohol.

Needs to be fully investigated, any sign of racism and the perpetrators need to be banned. We really don't need that reputaton. Thinking its ok or he deserved it, well that speaks volumes. That result has been coming unfortunately it was in the cup, but we need to go again.

I was approx 8' from incident and, as unpopular as this may make me, I feel Ben did what most players would do these days under the circumstances and made the most of the situation. That's not to say there wasn't contact or indeed intent from the Bracknell defender. After the event Gio told our fans not to throw beer/plastic cups at Bracknell players. He said "don't do that". As for the 'racist abuse': I was about 20' feet away and didn't personally hear anything, but that's not to say it didn't happen. Reactions and reports after suggest it did. Other than that and the result, I thought the ground was pretty much what I'd like for us to have - albeit we'd need it a bit bigger. Especially bar, toilets and somewhere to park coaches next to ground rather than 200m away and having to carry the team's kit, bibs and drinks across a small field. Shame about the injuries as well. Hope Jak gets back soon. His quick crossing is excellent and he should link up with Slavi well.

This is far from over. We're in some serious bother here.

We? Is it likely that the club will be fined for the behaviour of supporters at an away game? It's happened in European competition but at this level? It's obviously a worrying development and a tricky problem to solve. And I doubt any of the troublemakers will be at Spennymoor on Saturday...
As for the Cup: Ipswich at home. Would that have been another TV pick?
