After Berkhamsted Town had been wound up in 2009, the current club was formed by supporters and came back through the Spartan South Midland League to the Southern League, losing in last season's Division 1 play-offs. This is their first appearance at this stage of the competition since their reform, although Town did it three times. Berkhamsted Town had been formed in 1919 and played in the Spartan, Delphian and Athenian Leagues before joining the Isthmian in 1984. They had just eight seasons in Division One (level 7) –1993-99 and 2002-04 – before the pyramid reforms placed them in the Southern League (Div 1, level 8). Spared by reprieves in 2006 and 2007, they were relegated to the SSML the following year but failed to see out the 2008-09 season. Banbury Spencer played at Berkhamsted Town in the First Qualifying Round in 1948-49, winning 2-1. United played them at home in 2002-03 in the Preliminary Round, drawing 1-1 and going to Town's Broadwater ground for the replay with 10 fit players and a hobbling captain, Jon Corbett. A goal down at half-time, United looked to be on their way out to a team that would go on to claim a club record league finish but a four-goal, one-man show by Norman Sylla took Banbury into the next round. Best FA Trophy performance: 1997-98, 1st Round (last 64, equivalent of 3rd round today). FA Vase: Runners-up to Taunton in 2001 (since reform, 2015-16, 5th Round [last 16]). www.fchd.info/BERKHAMT.HTMwww.fchd.info/BERKHAMS.HTM

Did enough, but a disjointed and lacklustre performance, particularly in the first half. Really pleased Henry got his goal.

Very poor game, but we're through. Hopefully a good draw on Monday.

First half was a complete non event but some better play in the second half, one of those games where only the result matters.

Very poor, worst game under Whingy. At some stages the team looked a bit disinterested.
But a win and in the next round. Carry on raking in the ££££££

But a win and in the next round. Carry on raking in the ££££££ £12K winnings guaranteed, even with defeat. When the big prize money started in 2001, it took Banbury 14 seasons to win that amount.
