I'm sure Ronnie Johnson meant 'transfer' where he wrote 'sponsorship' but it's good to have it confirmed that the BU Dev debt has been paid off. It might have taken a few more years if Mike Ford was still around!

At 399, membership might be at its highest but the 41 who haven't renewed is worth noting. Have they simply not got around to it or are they protesting about the withdrawal of benefits?

And perhaps some supporters who feel they're not listened to or appreciated might like to reflect on the effort required to run a club at this level.

I was a member but not this season. A change in circumstance will see me attend much fewer home games and a small number of ‘local’ away games. Nothing in the membership for me, better used on my energy bills.

I was willing to pay a Gold Membership which had afforded a modest £1 discount on the gate, when I enquired about why it was dropped I was told because of administration and one tier would make it easier. As above nothing to incentivise me personally to join again. The other frustration for me is that at no time so far have shareholders and Spencer Villa fund members been mentioned. I bought into the club when the CBS was formed and still contribute a modest amount to the SV pot, I have heard that the fund is being reviewed so will wait to see the outcome. One question should be asked as to whether shareholders should be considered for automatic membership,after all they have contributed to the club.

There are of course many members who must be satisfied with the system at the present.

I too am a shareholder which I add to every season and personally just regard it as a donation to the club.

From my viewpoint - I just haven't got round to sorting my membership out this season as yet, but will do so accordingly.
