www.bufc.drfox.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=8167.0'From beaten play-off finalists to relegation fodder' in two games according to one comment. Banbury beware! Boston are in a swish new stadium which they moved to in December 2020. Their former York Street ground was a proper old arena, big enough for the Football League and it saw five seasons of it from 2002 before financial troubles saw the club relegated. The Conference immediately demoted Boston, who thus started the 07-08 season two levels lower in the Northern section. They finished 10th but were demoted again, starting the 08-09 season in the Northern Premier League. They were promoted the following season and have been at their current level since, losing five times in the play-offs. fchd.info/BOSTONU.HTMThe clubs have never met but came close to it in 1999 – had Banbury beaten Purfleet in their FA Cup 2Q replay, they would have travelled to York Street in the next round.

Boston better team 1st half without creating much.
Banbury had much more control in the 2nd, but the constant cynical and physical tackles on our players was worrying. Hope every team in this league is not like that but I have my doubts.
Jack Stevens kicked out of the game Ben fouled so many times his marker had to go off before he was sent off. Should have been more than one red card imo.
Would have taken a point before the game but in the end slightly disappointing.
Still I didn't think we would get 7 points from 1st three games brilliant

Niggling cynical side, ref could have stopped some of it instead of talking so much. Players taking it in turns to deal with Ben on the left and their 6 was an idiot to pick up a second yellow. We controlled the game pretty well apart from the first fifteen which I guess they thought was their best chance to get on the scoresheet. Overall the game showed that we are desperate for a target man up front, that said 7 from 3 is a good start.

I thought a draw was a fair result. Boston were the better side in the first half,we looked good second half. They were a big, physical team, and they closed us down quickly. I think we will come up against a lot of similar sides this season. Fair play to them, they have got a system and they stuck to it for the whole game. 7 points from 3 games is brilliant.

Just a quick question as I didn’t attend last night , did the quality of the service and the burgers improve from Saturday?

From the Boston forum: Some positives & negatives from last night. Positives are the resilience shown & defensive solidity especially after going down to 10 men with half an hour to go...the negatives are simply the football is dire & creativity is minimal. We were warned of Paul Cox's hoofball style & I have to say that I didn't really see it last season, but so far this season it is evident that this is the way the players are being instructed to play.
Banbury played the ball out of defence all the time, building from the back, looking for the incisive pass, using the midfielders & width. We just bypassed the midfield with goal kicks that went straight down the throat of their centre-backs.www.bufc.drfox.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=8169.0

That food looks dreadful. Agree with Boston post,we are easy on the eye, wouldn't fancy playing or watching Boston every week. We need a forward, easier said than done.

Thought the food was now being prepared by a respected local firm, if this is an example then words need to be had and quick.

Reg was there last. If there's a problem he is very interested to know. He has a very good reputation to keep up
