If they offer to play the match pre-season they can do one. Quite. The moment has gone. A meeting in the FA Cup or Trophy might be a bit lively... So when officially do we come under National League jurisdiction? I assume there is a process to follow? At the league AGM in early June where the divisional line-ups, drawn up by the FA Leagues Committee, will be ratified.

The simple fact is that had Taunton been involved in the play offs they would have fielded a team without any problems whatsoever. No one believes that they would have pulled out and given up on a chance of promotion. Their excuses are embarrassing. We have lost revenue because of their decision. That cannot be fair or right.

Let's be clear about this. At the start of the season it was understood that there was to be a championship play-off match on or around this date, between the winners of the Southern and Central divisions, entering the League signed teams to that. It was also clear quite early that the game would be at Banbury as our PPG was vastly superior. Taunton's action is as has been said elsewhere a big two-fingers to the League and Banbury.

The First Division shield match took place. Bedford Town beat Plymouth Parkway 5-3. The attendance was a modest 302.
Taunton to Banbury 120 miles. Plymouth to Bedford 255...

This year's match should have been Weston-super-Mare v. Tamworth and was due to be played today. It was called off yesterday as Tamworth can't raise a side 'due to injury and illness'.
