Bad day at the office would be a good description of todays game. A fortuitous penalty in the first half that the ref deemed in the box which wasn’t missed this week. The odd thing was that we never looked in any real trouble but came up against a resolute defence, build up was okay but fell apart in the last third, I lost count of how many corners we had but didn’t make any of them count. Fair play to Redditch they plugged away and scored a free header from a free kick which was poorly defended. A salutary lesson that nothing is a given even with a healthy points lead. Hopefully the bounce back will happen next week.

A below par performance. Redditch came with a game plan and executed it very well, fair play to them.
We offered very little in the final third. Lots of huffing and puffing but it continuly came to nothing.
Need to bounce back next week.

Gets given 9times out of 10 at one glance at Full speed.
Bloke's still gotta put it away unlike last week.
They come with a game plan and got their rewards.
Onto the next one and hopefully a reaction.

Disappointing result today. We were not clinical enough in final third, but will give Redditch their due. For some reason just got that feeling early on in the game that we might struggle today. Could be a blessing in disguise just to keep us on our toes so that there is no chance of complacency creeping in for the run-in.

AW was fuming in his post match interview not only with the team but the ref especially with the time wasting that was going on which went largely unpunished. All being well they will get this one out of the system and get back on course next Saturday which will be a tough one as well.

For the record, a couple of runs were ended on Saturday (league only).
Nine successive wins – previous instances:
13 – 99-00 (Hellenic Premier)
10 – 54-55 (B'ham & District), 15-16 (SL1SW)
_9 – 47-48 (B'ham Comb)
Five successive wins without conceding – just once before, 15-16.
