That's crap. If the law is lenient then perhaps the club should be.

The sentence may be lenient, but he was found guilty - I think that's one of the issues + not informing the club will be problematic. Will the conviction mean he would not be able coach/train with young/junior players as he may not get the correct DBS clearance? Dunno. Just a thought. A real shame - I hope he can get past all this as he is a really good, local talent.

Stupid Club not informed is even worse. Think the club will have to make a stance, be interesting if they wash hands of him.

He has made a mistake and he knows it. I hope the club will find a way to give him the support he will need to put this behind him.

the club under the c.b.s leadership signed a convicted racist as well as someone who had actually been to prison.
I'll be very disappointed if the same people go overboard with this.
while this is obviously a very stupid mistake by henry i hope we help him through this rather than throw him to the wolves.

I feel they need to publicly say how disappointed they are etc, but to release him would be a big mistake.

Having thought about the whole situation I think that the club should now come out in support of the lad as I believe this would demonstrate that we are a community club, nothing will be gained for him as an individual if we release him. No doubt there will be detractors who have already made their judgment without thinking of the future for the lad. At the moment he is at his most vulnerable and will need all the support he can get.

Cannot condone what has happened but but we were all young once and maybe got involved with things we now regret when young and impressionable. I also believe in giving everyone a second chance. Decisions on his future at the club will be way beyond me, however the club should consider how best to support Henry at what is a difficult time. I for one will be right behind him if he puts the Red and Gold shirt on again.

Probably the right thing to do. There will always be people baying for blood but equally he's made a mistake, he's probably got away with it as a first offence, alot easier for us to move on than the boy himself.

Seems to strike the right balance removes potential disruption before an important match, without going overboard

Everyone can have a good think about what to do without a knee jerk reaction. Completely wrong on his part, but he has to be allowed to try and progress his life. Playing football may be of great help to him

Arsenal with Tony Adams, Man Utd with Cantona. They stuck with players and instead of sacking/releasing those players, they offered support and turned the players sentences/bans into positives. Henry knows he made a serious mistake and he could be used to help educate the younger players throughout the club. Henry is passionate about his football and to take away something he is so focused on and passionate about would help neither player or the club.
