Mike Ford no. 2 at Stratford. Can't be many times when a team faces opposition run by 2 ex managers. Interesting game which unfortunately I cannot attend at the moment

Think this will be the first real test this season. If we play as we have, a good result is possible

Great result today. If we keep playing football to that standard we’ll be on our way to 800 fans soon enouigh

Listened to the commentary on the radio , sounded like it got a bit lively at the end

This has to be one of the most satisfying results for a long time, after a slowish start we started to grow into the game without causing too many problems but equally not being troubled by Stratford. As I have said before Wreh is a real handful and caused their defence no end of problems and Jack at the other end had very little to do, Langmead at the back was once again immense and Rasulo in mid field was also causing problems. All eleven players stepped up today and the reward was Jack Westbrook scoring the single goal which gave us all three points. The crowd was reported as 711, if that was correct over half were from Banbury, without the away support you may as well have been in a library. The only negative for me was one young idiot who thought it might be a good idea to throw a smoke flare on the pitch, probably more to do with having had a bit too much amber nectar pre match. Hopefully the ref won’t view this as too disruptive and submit a report.

The crowd was reported as 711... By a very small margin a Southern League record for Stratford, beating 707 for the visit of Hereford on a Tuesday evening in January 2018.

Unbelievable performance! Especially at the back, the blocks and the headers won today was brilliant. Westbrook & Langmead were Rock Solid again. Great feeling to Win twice in three days.
Well played and incredible noise from the Yellows!!!

"Despite this, the small travelling section made for a great atmosphere to a match between two teams who will be vying for promotion in the spring." Wonder if the reporter was actually at the game to write "the small travelling section". Without the Puritan fans it would have been like in a library!
