Well we will be the lower league opposition but we have lost out on promotion in the playoffs two years in a row.
Also with St Neots in our league this year it looks like we will be reduced to the playoffs again.
Surely you guys would be favourites, I have actually seen you play a couple of years ago against Maidenhead at York Road.

I see you're still playing at Beaconsfield SYCOB (Slough Youth Club Old Boys) ground next to the M40 Services junction - is there any hope of you returning to Wexham Park Stadium or ? I remember watching a few Slough Town games at the old dog track in Slough (which is now a Sainsbury's ), good days them !!

Ken Butler of Ribero sportswear ( our shirt supplier) tells us he played for the Puritans against Slough in the 1972/73 season, any details anybody ?

Hi Didier
The problem with our ground started when we were kicked out of the conference. We needed to put in an extra 49 seats but the council turned down planning permission. Our chairman then washed his hands of the club and to be fair rightly so.
We were then taken over by a consortium including Alan Brazil who paid rent to the old Chairman, eventually the consortium became one man, Mr Martyn Deaner. He was behind on rent and so we were kicked out of the ground with the old chairman saying we could return once Deaner was gone (or something to that effect). By the time Deaner did step down our old chairman had died and the ground had gone to his son. His son is in Spain somewhere last i heard and doesnt care for football so the ground is sitting there rotting.
Meanwhile we have a new chairman (Steve Easterbrook) who is fantastic and who is running the club as a business rather than pumping money in. So our budget is only what we can afford and we are growing as a well run business would. We now have the council on side and we are well into a proposal for a brand new stadium in Slough which would be self sufficient and hopefully one day we will be back in the conference. We are due to move into the new stadium as early as next year.
