...Evo-Stik apparently (no confirmation yet). This will be very confusing for those who only ever refer to leagues by their sponsors' names.

Our man in Torquay has stuck to his task and confirms that the League Sponsor is... Evostik, he further confirms that the club's endorsed the decision of the League to offer a place to Rushden & Diamonds subject to the outcome of the extended winding up order. So it looks as if we need plan for an extra home game next season.

The R&D supporters trust has all but given up on taking over or starting a 'phoenix' club for next season while the much talked about Japanese backers are reported as saying they will only invest if R&D remain in the Conference. Don't plan too hard, Nigel...

As per front page of the NLP exclusive... it looks almost certain that the R&D board will not contest the winding up order so R& D will be no more with Kettering playing at Nene Park. So it will be the normal number of home games afterall for us next season.

The Kettering move isn't certain. Chairman Imran Ladak is playing a game with the owners of Rockingham Road over the lease and with the local authority over the siting of a new ground. KT's fans aren't at all happy about moving to Nene Park but if it keeps their club alive, they'll accept it.
Despite the rivalry between the clubs, there's not too much crowing at Kettering given the precarious state of their own club caused by the uncertainty over Rockingham Road.
