Hard to say who Banbury will meet. Witney are struggling near the bottom of the Premier division while the apparently eternally crisis-ridden Bicester are in the middle of Div 1 West.
If Banbury do play Witney, it will be the first meeting of the clubs since Witney United started up in 2002, a year after Town was controversially closed down.
Banbury last played Town in the OSC at home in the 97-98 QF, losing 0-5. The clubs last met in the league in 00-01, Banbury winning 2-1 at Witney and the game at Banbury drawn 1-1. The Witney fans carried a cardboard coffin around The Stadium in protest at their chairman's treatment of the club. Those two league meetings were the first since 1981-82.

Not sure off hand the last time we played Bicester in the Senior Cup... 98-99, 3rd round, H W 6-0. Went on to beat Thame in the QF (while they were distracted by their Vase SF) and went out at Witney in the SF, beaten by Carterton in that infamous match.

www.pitchero.com/clubs/banburyunitedfootballclub/news/banbury-home-to-bicester-town-244029.htmlI have no problem with the Oxfordshire FA removing Oxford City - rules are rules but: The removal of Oxford City somewhat devalues the competition! Still they do enter two teams so they can still win it! Perhaps all the first team players can sign on for the Nomads! Being rather flippant but I wonder if their quarter final at Carterton is void enabling players that played in that game to subsequently play for Nomads or whether they are all cup tied! I don't want an answer don't really care - just rambling!!

... a good result tonight for Banbury in the cup...Hmm. A 91st minute winner against a side three steps lower... The lack of comment isn't surprising, given the attendance of 73. This is the second lowest ever recorded by Banbury in the competition, the worst being 65 against Old Woodstock in 95-96.
