Anyone else going? Still think it is a big shame this is not at Banbury.
Any ideas on team news - us or them. They have quite a big 1st XI squad so might be a decent team they put out.

...a big shame this is not at Banbury. Being a semi-final is no bar to playing at a participant's ground but I suppose the OFC wanted to give Thame another chance to show off their new ground. Attendance might have been better at Banbury – previous OSC ties v. Oxford Utd at Banbury: 86-87 F 984 L 1-2 87-88 SF 613 W 3-1 89-90 QF 507 L 3-4 92-93 QF 705 W 1-0

Final Score 2-0 to Oxford.Overall we battled well against an Oxford team that fielded at least four players with first team experience. With some knocks we were down three or four so some of the youngsters were drafted in. Beaten but not bowed.

We were minus, Aynsley, Jack, Delroy, Malachi,Robbie, through injury or sickness, the youngsters drafted in did a very good job.

Earle looked like a useful player, hope to see him again playing for the first team.

Decent performance given the players missing and the strong Oxford side. Agree Earle looked useful especially in second half and was unlucky his bullet header was well saved. Special credit to his fitness as he had played 90 mins for Easington Sports in Hellenic Div1 West the night before!

We played pretty well considering the inexperienced side we put out but Oxford looked like they had another gear. Earle and Eyre will surely have caught Billy's eye and good to see Nathan get another game under his belt - glad he realised being a Hersham Boy was for Sham 69 not him (late 70s punk reference for the younger reader)
You don't get much of a stadium for £3m do you? I am not being critical but just reflecting how easily it is to spend what looks like a huge sum of money
Not saying it wasn't "nice" but by the time the car park, done the landscaping, floodlit 3g pitches and associated changing rooms, main clubhouse and changin rooms are built you basically have roof attached to the main building which covers approx 300 seats.
Floodlights were like all weather pitch ones, shining downwards, so any high balls were hard to see (perhaps explains Joe's 1st half tactics of kicking it into touch all the time!). Hard standing for 1m and railed for the rest of ther ground with no steps or cover elsewhere. Posh toilets but tap fittings already loose. Nice snack bar.
The Thame people were friendly and no doubt rightly proud of the facility - it would have been good to have the PA in operation though.
