Just seen Mr McCrory on BBC news proudly wearing a Swindon Town scarf and heard exactly what he said when he came to Banbury so why did he bother in the first place.

Loyalty ! Your having a laugh!!! IT'S times for all to come clean over all that's gone on this season 1) Who owners the Club? 2) Who put the last management team on contracts? 3) Who's running the club now? 4) Where do we go from here ? The only ones with any loyalty are the fans, and what are we told, B*** S*** from all sides! Lets get some facts! because we the fans will be left to pick up the pieces or give the club a dignified death. If no one from the club will tell us ! well come on Steve Smith earn your money and get a big story for the B G. I for one are getting fed up! WE LOVE THIS CLUB.

Good shout Phil. Truth from all parties now not in a few weeks. Good name of Banbury United will be tarnished if a long running saga ensues. I say we set Steve Smith the task in 7th March issue of BG.

I always questioned the motives behind the take-over when it happened. Something didn't feel right. Was Jed buying loyalty when he bought everyone a beer, Owners going on forums,? People at Banbury United need to know what has gone on, what have we been left saddled with, how many players are actually on the two year contracts Jed aired on this very forum? The feeling of betrayal is prominent at the moment. Many folks will now be having second thoughts about the season that has seen the club finally lose all dignity, it's so called big money man, and return the club back to the owners who did such a splendid job keeping he club afloat for years with no help. Progress - I think not. Taken for a ride - definitely!
Just wonder how long it will be before we are full time and in the Conference - longer than he three year JM was spouting!

You won't get answers simple as that.. It was just a game for the consortium.. Chewed us up and now they've spat us out. We have gone 1 step forward up to christmas and next season it will be 10 backwards and probably a league backwards as well. What makes me laugh is that poalo di canio is in line for a return!! What a joke. Swindon fans know he is only a cheque book manager and a ticking time bomb who's ego is bigger than the club. I dont Hope it all goes tits up at Swindon, I know it will.. Unfortunately it will be 2 clubs piĀ£&ed about with.

The consortium member was talking about putting concerts on at the county ground, oh dear, stfc are going to be pulling there hair out, as Craig says wait and see, remember the people of banbury ain't come through the gates, the people of swindon do.

When i spoke to paul jones he knew nothing about players on contract. Its simple jed and co was hoping to use this club to farm players but it never worked so he chucked us to one side. Also heard that the plans have been in place to but swindon since late september. If any one beleived he put the consoritum together and action plan all in a week like he said is nuts.

Do need some answers from somewhere. That is the problem, no answers from anywhere at moment.
Sad period for a long standing club.
Whatever the result of the Jed era, he is right on one thing - the town does not want to know

Whatever the result of the Jed era, he is right on one thing - the town does not want to know Banbury United IS an attractive proposition - Banbury is a one club town with a growing population, the club has tremendous potential. Don't give up folks !

I'm sorry I've got to totally disagree with the majority of you. I've supported Banbury for 30+ years and always will, Jed is a businessman and if he has to choose Banbury or Swindon he's always going to go for STFC. I personally could not give a rats arse who is the chairman, owner, board member!! I go to watch Banbury play football and win games which they've done more this season. I want the facilities to be better and again this has improved this season. What did we want Jed to do come in this season and say sorry there's no money, we'll be lucky to escape relegation and the football will be s**t. Jed probably is a bit smoke and mirrors but if you deal with rich businessmen there all a bit like that. Lets all just enjoy the rest of the season, top ten finish I'll take that. Next season, preseason friendly with Swindon beats Woodford away, Swindon development team and playoff push! I'm happy with that

I'm sorry I've got to totally disagree with the majority of you. I personally could not give a rats arse who is the chairman, owner, board member!! /quote] Ian, I really have to disagree with you over this,a well run football club has to have a structure and leadership, the demands and problems of running a football club are many,as i said in a previous thread, compared with Brackley and Oxford City our off field organisation is shambolic, and it has got worse!!,do we need a chairman?,of course we do,you have to have a figure head that holds it all together,do we need a financial director?, yes again that is a basic role at any club,do we need a commercial manager?,of course you need someone dedicated to try and attract sponsorship/corporate interest, what about community liason?,can you name anyone currently involved at boardroom level who fulfills any of these roles???,then you have ground and maintenance, surley most clubs at our level have a qualified groundsman to tend to the pitch, who is organising day to day maintenance of the ground??'we could go on and on,the club is living in the dark ages,to hear quotes about us becoming professional in 3 years is straight from Hans Christian Anderson,we are not even a competently run amateur club!,sorry if we are ever to truly go forwards then the whole foundation of the club needs a complete makeover.
