This link www.youtube.com/watch?v=auJJvPEIEXw re Farnham Town is an interesting watch. They're a team in the lower realms of non-league football to us but who have had a very successful social media businessman and friends take over the club. Many things strike a chord when considering our current situation eg we're currently struggling in a league which we'd always dreamed of competing in : They're in a very good catchment area but have the likes of National League Dorking Wanderers (them and their owner Marc White are well worth a YouTube follow) and London nearby Matchday experience is vital - they reminded me of dopey's comments re Reg's Cafe on another thread ? Player signings - the bit that hit home for me was (from 19 minutes in) re great players who would sign in a relatively local league (eg for us the Premier League Central) but not for the league above "because of the travelling" ! We're south of Birmingham with current lengthy trips to places like Darlington, South Shields and Curzon Ashton which won't be attractive to players located anywhere south of Milton Keynes and to those with family/commitments. Perhaps a few seasons back competing in the Southern Premier League whilst we build up our Youth development so u/18's can be part of our 1st team on their way up is the way forward ? just my personal considerations/thoughts, that's all ....

Not disagreeing Didier but given how long and I mean long it’s taken us to get up to our highest level ever when sadly I think we will drop it will take another long period of time to hopefully get back again. The hit to the club financially following a drop will be I think quite big, support will drop markedly and this in turn hits finances everywhere. I spent ten years following the club in the Hellenic Wilderness and it took us several years to get to SL Prem level so I think despite the finance burden we should make every effort to at least try to stay up.

we should make every effort to at least try to stay up. Totally agree and would echo the post-match sentiments of the Rushall Manager re ambitions.

They're in a very good catchment area but have the likes of National League Dorking Wanderers (them and their owner Marc White are well worth a YouTube follow) and London nearby. Catchment in the broadest sense of having good road and rail access, although down-to-earth Aldershot is much nearer than the Flash Harrys at Dorking. Farnham itself is a town of a modest 20,000 although if you add the commuter villages all but attached to it you get to almost 50,000. The ground is very small, with very little room for expansion but is right next to the main road through the town and a 5-10 minute walk on well-lit streets from more than half of it. Compare that with getting to Banbury's patch... And yes, the menu looked interesting if you're one of those who doesn't eat before leaving the house.
