Thought it was worth giving a mention to the gaffer.
I think we can all agree He was tasked with a complete rebuild of the playing squad in a relatively short time frame, having only 2 players left from last season (Harding, maye) - I’m not counting Hewitt as Andy whing barely used him.
And I hope we can all equally agree that the management team have done a fantastic job in carrying out that rebuild, there was always going to be a few bumps and errors (Buxton) early on as the players settle and the manager fine tunes things, which with the addition of physical presence in the team (maja, Yusuf) seems to have happened.
I’m sure there will be bumps in the road but I certainly think the nucleus of a competitive team is now very much there- Warrington performance was clear evidence of that.
A big game this coming weekend, a cup run is always crucial for the money, and getting the club some positive exposure would be the perfect tonic to the negativity of recent months (crowd trouble, boardroom comings and going’s, poor form and the departure of Andy whing and 90% of the players)
