Kettering 'back in the town in five years'

Kettering have identified a location for a new ground. Given the involvement of the district council this would appear to be more than just a hopeful idea.

The site is in the north-east of the town, half a mile from the Stamford Road.

Went to Rockingham Road a few times many, many years ago and remember a good social club and bowling alley next door to a huge stand which went two thirds of the length of the pitch. There wasn't much else there bar a strong team on the pitch and very hot Bovril

One of the top non league clubs 'back in the day' !
