After yesterday's 2-1 defeat to relegation rivals Gloucester Brackley sit just 3 points above the relegation places, also Gloucester and BPA the two clubs immediately below both have a game in hand,if Banbury can pull off a great escape could we have the return of the big local derby next season?. Noticed on twitter that Brackley Town supporters club (why you need a club for so few is a mystery?)have started a "we want our Brackley back" campaign, well with ever dwindling gates and the dramatic slide down the league then i'm sure they will soon get their wish.

Looks interesting down there, Keith. Hyde look doomed but any two of Stalybridge, Gloucester, Leamington, Brackley, Bradford and Gainsborough could join them.
Not quite sure what the BT supporters mean by 'having their club back'. Do they mean the self-supporting, debt-free Hellenic entity or the heavily bankrolled, 15-minutes-from-the-Conference version?

Careful you lot, I never could understand why we make so much fuss about Brackley as rivals. Just to say that if the investment had been in Banbury United and not Brackley, we might have been in League 2 by now. One thing I can say and that is , both United and Brackley are better teams than Villa. Your calling card Keith? did you ever see Johnny Dixon play, he was some player and captain. He scored four goals against Bolton in his last ever game at Villa Park, we were at Leggo Land(Wolves) at the time.
