Before anyone says why can't we get this , its because we dont own our ground the fa would'nt give us a fiver in our present situation!  |

I don`t give a dam what the FA says. Banbury is a bigger club with a bigger community needing bigger and better facilities. The regular Supporters and the now increasing number of volunteers and the many teams playing under the banner of Banbury United must feel snubbed and upset. As Charles Not permitted ens once said. "The law is an Ass." Somehow we must buy the ground - but how?

I've had this row with the F.A for years, if you own the ground or have a very long lease they will happily give away the money, there are no grants/funding to buy land though!  |

Be honest they are so much more organised than Banbury could ever hope to be. This will now mean they will have an income 24/7 from the facility and that can't be overlooked in this day and age of poverty.
I don't think it's a case of the rich getting richer, they have utilised the spare ground they had behind the goal by Turning it into a training area and junior pitches and someone has realised the potential and hey presto, a cool quarter million to make it even better.

Our problems started when the ground was handed over to Faccenda's,even long standing supporters such as myself never really had any idea why went on behind the scenes. Who can forget the Townley era,all he was interested in was Stone Cladding and three legged donkeys he called racehorses. As bitter and twisted as I am with the bought success up the road we will not attract any handouts until we have somewhere we can truly call home and god only knows when that will be.
