FT 5-1 . Apparently about seven changes ,not surprising with 3 games in six days.

A good total of 39 points with plenty of games left, no match next week, as good a chance of making the final as at any time since the last appearance 53 years ago so the manager puts out a weakened side...

Couldn't go tonight but that is a shocking result. We ain't going to get relegated and ain't goning to make the play-offs and yet put out a very weak side in a competition we could have won! I just don't understand it - mind you that team put out should have done better against a Midland Alliance side
Still roll on the Charity Cup and the Oxfordshire "Been there done it all before" Senior Cup!!
And a couple of more names to add to our list of players to have made a first team appearance this season

Sorry tonight was unacceptable, the team put out tonight was disrespectful to such a prestigious competition, had a chance to make history and win the BSC for the first time,we are in a safe position in the league,play-offs are gone so i expected a first team squad tonight to seriously go all out for the final,i am bitterly disapointed, second away game in three days, work 8 hours get home and then give another 4 or 5 hours of my time and hard earned money to support my team,i feel i have been badly let down,we need someone in charge who can identify with the fans and realise they are doing their job for the fans,i really am not sure that the team will progress to the next level with the present managerial team,we are used to being a close knit club from top to bottom, but at the moment there is a big void between bench and fans, things will not change until this is addressed!!.

I couldn't make it. I still can't understand why we played last night, we are not in an end of season fixture pile up yet. Very interested to know whose decision it was or if we we told we had to play then by Birmingham FA. This wasn't the Buckingham Charity Cup, we had a great result against Nuneaton with a full strength team then this.
A couple of key players - Harold, Marvin will have played 3 games in 5 days if they play Saturday - which they should as league is of course a priority.

A football manager will never say "I'm putting out a weakened side" or "I don't give a stuff about the BSC, the League is the one while there's still a chance of play-off's" BUT that was a bad scoreline !!!
Personally speaking, I like the BSC (stems from the Banbury Spencer heady days ?) and would put it alongside the League, FA Cup and FA Trophy as first team definites. Whilst it doesn't attract the crowds or Premiership/Football League players if you draw a biggun, it's still good publicity if you do well and can help networking re friendlies, player loans etc ., etc.
The Buckingham Charity and OSC are for the reserves IF the Club have to enter them

Marvin played centre mid, Harold got crocked early, keeper far to small, they also played Tuesday night.

Terrible result. Should have put out our strongest side. However Banbury Guardian reports that we had Sean Snelling sent off and that we played second half with 10 men which may account for the 5-1 scoreline!

Why bother entering in the first place if we are not going to take it seriously from the off?

Why bother entering in the first place if we are not going to take it seriously from the off? It was probably signed up in the close season eg before the new ownership team rolled in to town ?

I appreciate that Didier, but every year is the same. One way to reduce the No of games played on the worn out pitch is to stop entering meaningless cup competitions that a are only going to be used to give the stiffs a run out in the first team name.
