The end might be in sight. You may have read reports of their eviction from their ground for breaking the conditions of their lease.
The season started so well, with five wins and a draw in their first six games. Justin Merritt was the manager, having taken most of the squad of last season's Hellenic champions Oxford City Nomads with him to Witney. He resigned after five weeks, citing 'increased work commitments' as the reason for his departure, though if truth be told he probably fell out with the chairman.
Justin Lee took over and he resigned early in December, saying "My decision has not been easy. However, circumstances at the club have proven influential in prohibiting what I feel a successful football club requires as a sound foundation for both players and staff." In other words, he too fell out with the chairman. Players left and the club slipped into the bottom half of the table.
Their out-of-town ground hasn't helped. Even while in the Premier Division of the SL in the 90s they often struggled to pull in 200.
