On the plus side not as bad as Tuesday but still no cutting edge up front.Either side of half time was encouraging but we never really looked like scoring again. The fact that the only goal was probably at least two yards offside is academic, these are the sort of things that happen when your down the wrong end. Hopefully the latest signings will get a game at some point as the current eleven are falling well short. Only positive is results around us haven’t made the dire situation any worse.

Left early. If the goal was offside, then that is 3 games consecutively the officials have screwed us. Not the reason we are where we are, but doesn't help

This relegation is on the board I’m afraid. 2 awful managerial appointments have cost us our national league status.

After winning at King's Lynn in December, it looked OK (W8 D4 L8, 16th) but since then W2 D3 L11. The inability to scratch out a few ugly draws is really worrying for any struggling team. Just four of those defeats turned into points would provide some hope.
Banbury have scored three in a match only once and failed to score 13 times.

If you don't create chances, you don't score. If you don't score you don't win. Footballs simplest fact. For weeks we have never ever looked like scoring. Relegation has been on the cards for months. Sad to say. Southern League here we come

I was probably the most optimistic on here that we would survive. However now after what I’ve witnessed in the last 2 games, I have to admit I think we are down.
Kevin Wilson just starts with the same team using the same tactics and expects a different result. The definition of madness they say, doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.
No encouragement from the dugout from Wilson, substitutions too late in the game, clearly no sense of the dire circumstances we are in. If we lose points against the teams around us then you have no chance of survival.
Why bring in new players if you’re not going to put them straight in? Can’t do any worse than what we have.

A poor show. Nothing up front. Can't believe that we can survive, just can't see where any points are coming from. Spoke to a couple of Southport fans on the way out, they were amazed to see their team win, I think they want to play us every week!!

Buck has to stop with the board I’m afraid, when all said and done we needed a manager with experience in the northern section, obviously we will never know if anyone more suitable applied but it’s too late now as the games up.

Having managerial arrangements in mind a few weeks before May 22nd would have helped...

Application was there, but frankly some of the players are dire.Darlington being a prime example.Surely the chairman speaks to Kevin, this looks like collusion cause anywhere else he'd resign or be sacked. I'm free Tue night but I'm not paying to watch that.

Tells you a lot when your goalkeeper is MoM yet again. Where was the other new signing, didn’t even figure. I understand that players coming in need time to fit in but barely using them doesn’t help. It seems that appointing KW was either the cheapest option or born out of sentiment from back in the day unless of course nobody else wanted it with the current set up.Nobody has really said why nearly all of last years team walked away which put us on the back foot straight away, add to that the amount of good people that also left it’s killing us off.

Considering Boston scored 7 yesterday. I'd imagine we win 8-7 Tuesday.
Think I'd just stick to Cheltenham this week.

Nobody has really said why nearly all of last years team walked away which put us on the back foot straight away... It goes back to the budget cut. When was that decided? When did the club talk to Andy Whing about his intentions? Which came first? A few of us on here have given the board a bit of let-off over this because of the situation regarding the stadium. Looking back, perhaps we were being a bit too understanding. Would Mark Jones have done a better job if he'd been appointed earlier or would a better manager also have failed with the money available?

Am on my travels at present so limited forum time for me but losing to teams below or around us as we’re doing is Manager sacking material for me.
Fans called for an experienced Man at the helm - we got that
Fans called for a Manager with contacts - we got that
…. but it plain just hasn’t happened for us.
Hopefully KW will accept the situation and do the honourable thing ?
