If anyone thinks we can stay up after another abject performance tonight it’s not going to happen, I will gladly eat my words if proved wrong. As I see it bringing KW in to take on the managers role hasn’t up till now worked. When the other lads took temporary charge at least the team showed a bit of fight. Substitutions ten minutes before the end were a waste of time and were never going to impact the game, on these recent performances we do not deserve to stay up and we won’t. I as a long standing supporter through thick and thin have tried to remain positive but have now given up.

Agreed, that was absolutely shocking
A performance like that wouldn’t even cut it in the southern league central

Only way we have even a glimmer of hope is to let McKay and Shea Take the final 11 games.

We are an awful team put together buy an awful manager, who we replaced with another awful manager!
Can't give up hope yet but we look so poor across the board.
Everything about our club looks amateur to me, I've been a supporter 30 years now and it feels shite tonight.
Things are not right withen the club, I saw a long standing supporter tonight very angry as he couldn't buy his programme and was struggling to get a seat on the bus to away games, this chap has been a fan for forever home and away!! We've kicked the youth out for giving us an atmosphere, where are the future fans coming from? We are one of the only teams not to have squad name and numbers on shirts. We look amateur and act it at the same time, we don't deserve to stay up and in truth do we even want to as a club?? Fans do but do you get that feeling from the boardroom...not so sure?

A shocking 1st half performance last night - no fight/clue from either the pitch or bench - didn't threaten all half but thought the penalty could change things. We came out stronger in the second half without testing their keeper but as soon as their penalty went in it was game over. Wasn't close enough to tell if it was a penalty but looked soft from the Town End. No subs until the 80th minute and Ricky isn't the answer. The appointment of KW has been a disaster - it's almost as if the board are happy with relegation to save on costs/travel etc - but we will not go back up any time soon - a clear lack of strategy, especially with the ground move looming. If that ever happens... Whilst I think all of the board (3 main members) are very hard working, is there anyone with a football background, especially at this level? We didn't need to spend c£70k on a new stand last season which then compromised the team budget as we could not name a full bench for weeks. The club has handled any crowd 'issues' badly - they are quick to accept all blame without thinking with a clear head after the game has finished - no other club does this! Any wonder why the crowds have fallen and sponsors are getting p!ssed off. The crowds and atmosphere has been shocking this year which will only impact the budget further. I hope the board is already planning for next season - we are already relegated - and need to be on the ball ASAP unlike this season otherwise another relegation battle is on the cards. Such a shame considering where we were 15 months ago.

Always had reservations about Wilson coming in. His passion for the club may or may not be hearty but he's been out the game a little too long. As for no Kevin Wilson team has been relegated, he should do the right thing if he wants to keep that record.
Imo the appointment of Wilson was an easy one, do we know if there was any more applicants? Are the board not bothered with going down, feels like again that's the "easy" option. Such a shame as where this club could go to.
We may well have punched above our weight in that title winning season. But for Christ sake you should enjoy and ride that bounce don't let it drag you down which I'm afraid we have.
I would like to see a player/s come out and say something. They were all very talkative when winning, I'm not asking for answers but just say we are trying.

We didn't need to spend c£70k on a new stand last season... The club would have been demoted without it.

Ah ok, think that’s what the fellow meant about the stand, we couldn’t get promoted without it and for a little while last season we looked very good, so we rushed into building it incase if promotion, where in effect we actually had three years and it unfortunately looks like we are going down in two years meaning we didn’t need to do it 🤷🏻♂️

Yes - was aware this was potentially for promotion (which I think would have killed us financially!) as opposed to demotion. I'm sure there could have been a cheaper alternative, especially with the grass area near the dugouts?

Further to the above, the National League Ssystem handbook is effectively a list of specifications and a style guide. It mentions the Step 2 to Step 1 promotion requirements but those are to be found in full in the NLS Rules. They changed between 21-22, when Banbury and Peterborough Sports were promoted, and last season. There was a debate on the subject on Non-League Matters and it was inconclusive as to which requirements PS had to meet in their first season at Step 2.
Of course, Banbury could simply have avoided making any improvements and instead spent the money on the team, enjoyed three comfortable mid-table finishes and said "Ta-ra" next spring.
