The website did say more player announcements to come so all we can do is hope we can get shot of some deadwood. We need to sign players no matter what, our bench today was something else. Desperately need some old heads and a striker who can actually hit the target.

Tin hat time
It’s obvious that we can not afford this level of football Last year’s account showed a loss of pushing 40k and that was after player sales of 30k. So with no player sales loss would of been pushing 70k, this was with winghy as manager playing attractive football and gates of pushing 1000 We now have gates of below 600 and by what I have seen we will not be selling any of our players Looking at todays results we are could be looking at relegation and with a big dept as well, Now for this bit I’m going to put my tin hat on for Dump all the players that are costing us a lot of money, play the youth team, get relegated with out owing a lot and then re group next year

Fair post dave. Some of these players are on good money, and let's be honest, they are just not worth it. Make no mistake, we are heading for relegation.

If we survive this year in this league, who we finance the dept that we will have ?? We could not survive next season playing in this league and pay a increase in the weekly wage bill and pay off a debt

Why bother going if you’re that negative? If the youth were any good they’d be playing, or at least involved, already. Play them and we’ll be in the Hellenic again! Or is that the goal?

My back-of-an-envelope calculations suggest that any loss of income through the gate and from advertising and sponsorship will be more than balanced by the cut in playing budget. This team certainly isn't on last season's money!

It’s not being negative, it’s reality
I certainly do not want to go back to the Hellenic days,
But I want to see the football club survive even if it means we have to drop down a level

We need better recruitment if the youth was any good they would have a go, which is the case with Scott, we've also recruited a lot of "unwanted" youth from elsewhere, we are a young squad but stupidly we are paying through the nose for some rubbish. Do we even have a scout anymore?

Obviously I don’t know who else applied for the vacant position when AW went but taking on a southern area based manager in my view was a mistake as we all know the northern section is different to the south. If he was the only alternative, fair enough but as we are witnessing it’s not working. I just hope that there is not a defeatist attitude at board level in that there is a thought that we are just a Southern League side. As a long time supporter I have waited a very very long time to get to a higher level and if we don’t survive it I fear I will never see it again.

I do not want to see the club relegated, but unless we can come up with an extra 80k to 100k,we will not be able to compete at this level

What more can I add than has already been said.
I find it hard to be too critical of Jones. I’ve said before what he walked into was a shambles, however, I feel like the same type of performance is becoming the norm far to often, appears to just be a team of players sent out to Simply run around and try their best, no obvious game plan, tactics and strategy to be seen. Midfield non existent, but then again hardly surprising when it’s hoofed constantly from our defenders to our 2 strikers who simply can not hold the ball up. AEW the only threat.
I like mark Jones, I really hope he can turn it around, Saturday looks critical
Get the tone of your point Dave, but if we go down we will also go bust because southern league football won’t pull in a crowd and that’ll kill us aswell.
Totally deflating day
Also a big thank you to whingy, really done his old club a favour today (if you didn’t laugh you’d cry)

Just been sent a Twitter video clip showing some nonsense going on behind one of the goals, can anyone elaborate, thought we had stamped this out.

Just been sent a Twitter video clip showing some nonsense going on behind one of the goals, can anyone elaborate, thought we had stamped this out. Just read the statement on the website, mindless moron’s😖😖😖 Sunday School outings back in the 70's wasn't it Steve???!!! Good job Twitter didn't exist when the Witney derbies got played - half of the Banbury fans from those days would still be on life bans!!!!....Come on lets have some balance to the debate ...every generation has young excitable fans and this generation is no different - it stinks of hypocrisy and people my age (48) have very good memories of the "older lads" being a bit naughty and my first experience of "trouble" at Football was the BUFC clubhouse in 1987 when Wealdstone came to town. I recall a "proper" punch up that day and was escorted out by my Uncle to avoid the melee, as we heard the Police sirens screaming down Tramway. Lets not demonize young people who will one day, be a lot older, wiser and greyer sat in the John Nicholls stand and won't have quite as much testosterone running through their veins. No one is saying we want to see trouble at matches, but no one can seriously say this is a new thing at BUFC because that's simply history being rewritten! Secondly, I thought the security at BTFC yesterday was below the required standard. For a ground that's had a stack of money spent on it in recent years I honestly don't know how they thought two flimsy fences was going to keep people segregated. We had to empty our pockets on entry, show ID and get frisked, but then inside the ground the security was so poor. Then the vast majority of the Police and stewards in the away end were stood drinking Coffee by the turnstiles whilst the potential "flashpoint" area was left with little, to no protection! Then it happened and they had to make a dash over! Talk about reactive and not pro-active. Did the matchday safety officer, not look at those fences and do a risk assessment, or at least ask some Police to stand there, or have a strong steward presence? I made that point to the Police on the way out of the ground and they agreed and "would be making that point to BTFC". It's paramount that clubs make the facilities safe for the crowd and the security are on alert. I think if you're stood around drinking Coffee and in the wrong areas, by default you're not ready and alert for potential problems.
