Well we get £1,125 for our 'troubles' !
Yet again this season we concede very early, one would hope that this would've been worked on in training .........

A very, very bad result. No matter how we played, or who the opposition was, it's a dreadful result. A cup run gets the club loads of good publicity. A couple of seasons ago the whole Town was talking about the Barrow Cup tie. It created lots of interest. TV cameras, dreams of a shock result. Sadly that is becoming a distant memory. We needed a run to get the stay away supporters back. A bad day for the club. I don't really see how anyone can put a positive spin on it.

At least the players and staff aren't driving home this game in thier own cars...
That's the only positive I can come up with.

Don't think I have seen enough from Mr. Jones to give him the benefit of the doubt. Despite the situation he walked into, we have not seen the wholesale changes he promised after other bad defeats, we seem to get suckered in by one decent result or draw. Today without Jack, he could have been a bigger defeat, he is the only guy I would retain long-term, everyone else, well just very inconsistent or just not good enough. The club has to be brave and change something quickly. I do believe that with the current set up we will find it hard to stay up.

Don’t panic everyone these results happen , according to the Nantwich end this was the best performance in many a year . Let’s face it after last weeks comfortable victory over Warrington everyone was cock a hoop. We look promising at times and then we look shite . This team needs time to gel , let’s get to Xmas and then decide

Think the manager needs a reality check for the Northern section, totally different to what he has been accustomed to. The comment about north of Birmingham in the post match interview should be a wake up call to the type of players he should be looking for.

As a light-hearted, off-the-cuff observation it's accurate. As a point for serious analysis of match-day preparation...well, we'll leave that one hanging in the air.
Elsewhere, Gloucester, who also had a serious clearout in the summer and have had a worse start to the season than Banbury, had a similarly embarrassing afternoon, losing 0-3 at home to Totton, newly promoted to SLP South. Manager Tim Flowers has just been given the heave-ho. Gloucester at home is a possibility for the blank Saturday at the end of the month. Get them up here for a relegation six-pointer – in September!

Nantwich drawn away to Chester. Had Banbury won, they'd have been in the central section. Saturday's highlights: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdd2g4XnROwThese must be some of the worst I've seen and compare very badly with those from the tie two years ago. The constant switching between cameras on opposite sides of the ground is very distracting. However, they don't hide the evidence of some wild shooting by Banbury... Scunthorpe and Bishop's Stortford lost their replays last night and could also be switched. EDIT: It won't be Scunthorpe as their abandoned game against Buxton is to be replayed that day.
