One pre-season game to go and my gut feeling telling me it is not looking good. I think the gaffer's comments after the Slough game give clues. I think we have been slow to get experienced players and what experience we have is fragile given an injury or two.
I hope I am wrong, Does anyone have any thoughts?

Anybody coming in was going to struggle putting a team together in the timescales that were available especially because the new manager effectively inherited two players from the original squad. It’s too early to make any judgments about how we will progress until a settled squad is formed. It would probably have been more beneficial if AW could have given a bit of a heads up but it’s all history now.

We now have a squad equivalent in numbers to last season. Add a couple of loans and we are ready to go. Looks decent on paper. We will soon find out
