Brackley home to Kiddy.. Kiddy surprise win, but have been on a good run. Brackley..no please no Oxford City away to Dartford.. From a club point of view it'll be disappointing to lose either of them in terms of distance and attendance. Oxford City will be at home to St. Albans. They did the double over them this season. If they lose they are highly likely to be placed in our section so go along on Sunday and support the Saints!

If Oxford win, either Hemel, St Albans or Bishop's Stortford will be sent north. Given that the first two are barely 10 miles apart and their two derby matches this season attracted almost 4,500, you know which it's more likely to be...
For the record, Brackley have been in two p/o finals: 2013 Halifax H L 0-1 [att 2,604, club record]; 2018 Harrogate A L 0-3.

Quote from the Northampton Forum..
The chester fans at the end were an embarrassment to the club attacking Brackley fans for no reason throwing flares into the crowd and injuring people as well as stones coins and bottles
Kids were crying a Brackley player even took 1 young supporter to the changing room to keep him safe
Chester deserve huge sanctions

Unfortunately genuine fans will suffer because of the actions of the minority yet again. Hopefully the club will look hard at clubs with a hardcore reputation such as Chester and perhaps look at stopping away support, after all we made headline news with the same scum who really have no interest in football.

The scenes at Chester at the end of the play off game are dreadful. Surely they will face some kind of punishment? We need to totally ban them next season, we don't want to see a repeat of what happened this season. It's a shame for their genuine fans, but they are getting totally out of hand.

Brackley home to Kiddy.. Kiddy surprise win, but have been on a good run. There was certainly a big contrast in the fortunes of these two. Brackley were in the play-off places from late October yet won only one of their last 16 matches. At the end of March, Kidderminster were eight points away in 14th place, having not won in nine. They won their last six to qualify. More than 900 supporters travelled to Alfreton and King's Lynn. We're a long way from that kind of support on the road! None of us who visited Kidderminster in the 70s thought that they would reach the FL but that was before the formation of the APL/Conference. It's a different world now.

Kiddy fans not happy, only been allocated 700 tickets. "We're a big club, we are!"They should be grateful and remember where they came from. PS Football League play-off, Salford v. Stockport who, with an average attendance of more than 9,000, will get just 536 tickets.

Trouble is Steve the brackley end will have loads of space available. Surely they could have offered them a few more ? I suppose that this is what happens when you don't need the money!!!!!!!

From their website: "After conversations between the two clubs and safety advisory groups..."
Plod will have been involved here. I don't know if Brackley could have offered more. After all, the ground's stated capacity is 4,046 (yes, another of those absurdly precise figures).
I don't suppose Manchester United complain too much if Liverpool don't offer them 40,000 tickets for a match at Anfield.

From the Harriers forum:
"It's clear their facilities aren't geared up enough to deal with a game of this magnitude and to reduce it to 3000 is a joke...National League will need to take a look at this and remedy for future seasons to ensure this fiasco with allocations do not happen. Should be played at a decent stadium minimum 20k."
"Brackley's ground meets the requirements for the league we are in (min 3000 capacity). Perhaps the FA/National League need to be stricter on ground grading (might stop clubs getting promoted though…). The only thing that does get me is the reduced capacity (irrespective of how many actually attend). They wish to be in a league where they need 4000 capacity so if they have security concerns about us then what about bigger clubs? You can either hold 4000 or you can't."
"Simple solution...let's get the **** out of this league!"
Neutral venues: In the first four years, the regional finals were played on neutral grounds. Some of the attendances weren't very good: 1,050 for Stafford v. Droylsden at Burton in 2006; 1,077 for Eastbourne v. Hampton & Richmond at Ebbsfleet(!) in 2008. The highest was 3,175 for St. Albans v. Histon at Stevenage in 2006.
From 08-09, finals were played as now i.e. at the home of the highest-placed club. By and large, attendances have reflected the clubs and grounds. Best: 7,920, Halifax Town v. Chorley (2017). Worst: 1,829 North Ferriby United v. AFC Fylde (2016).
Some Kidderminster supporters are a bit full of themselves...
