Not very good. The team look tired. The season is effectively dead unfortunately
And....just when you think the referees can't get any worse they prove you wrong. This man must have come with the Leamington manager

Leam looked like relegation fodder for the first 20 minutes but were let back in the game twice. Less said about the shocking ref!

Biggest problem is the small squad as was demonstrated tonight, we can’t expect them to keep the momentum going all the time, having said that this was a game that should have been won but after taking the lead on both occasions we allowed them back into the game with at times the help of the ref who was hopeless. Shortly after he waived away a penalty shout for them he evened it up by waving away another one for us which was obvious. It seemed every time the Leamington bench shouted for something he gave it. On the plus side at least we don’t have to watch the dross Leamington play every week.

This was a typical mid table Southern league game, sadly it was a National league game. Very poor from both sides.
Our squad is just far too small to compete at this level. Just two subs and one of them is a keeper. A little embarrassing to be honest. We will lose Whingy if the budget isn't increased enough to build a bigger squad.
We should finish mid table, which will be an amazing achievement, but with a bigger squad who knows what might have happened.

Is this the same budget which was described as top 6 at a previous meeting? Whingy describing it as waffle was quite polite.

No way are we top 6 budget. Bottom 6 more likely.
We are the minnows at this level, which makes what Whingy has achieved all the more remarkable.

First game of the season for me last night on a flying visit from France
The style of play is very pleasing (based on last night and the regular YouTube match videos) and the effort and commitment are definitely there but last night looked a leggy display. Difficult for defence & midfield to move the ball forward (in the last 20/25 minutes) when there's no-one moving and giving options
Should've been three points but the Ref had a shocker especially reacting to the girlie screams from the Leamington Manager every time a Banbury player dared go near one of his team
Overall though, we should all be delighted with where the team currently stand in the table. Ours is a small part-time squad with one of the lowest budgets in the league. Hopefully attendances will continue to improve as there is no magic wand re the playing budget, can Whingy conjure up any more good loan signings ?
