Another 'reformed' club. The original Chester (Chester City from 1983) had eight re-elections to the Football League before relegation to the Conference in 2000. Promoted back to the FL as champions in 2004, the club was relegated again in 2009 and folded during the following season. The reformed Chester started in the Northern Premier League's Division One North in 2010. Three successive titles took it back to the Conference's national division before being relegated again in 2018.
Banbury's current run of seven league games without a win is their worst since the autumn of 2018 when, as now, they drew three and lost four from September to November. That run was ended by a 1-0 win on a Tuesday night. Here's hoping...

All I will say it should have been segregated!

Unfortunately I know but at this level every game should be segregated.

Unfortunately I know but at this level every game should be segregated. That is what was thinking on my way home!

Although I wasn’t in attendance tonight it saddens me to have to read about trouble off the field and not talking about what happened on the field. It may well be that there is still a bit of naivety about the league we are now in. There are many teams that have had and still have reputations and unfortunately the local lowlife will gravitate towards the ground just to look for trouble. The club need to now formulate new directives going forward to try to mitigate further trouble, as I have said before we do not need to be developing a reputation of being the club where your guaranteed a punch up.

No other word to describe some of the scenes tonight - hooliganism. Knew it was going to be unpleasant when almost got hit with a flying traffic cone on the way into the ground! I was amazed it wasn't segregated. Surely anyone who knows the National League would realise Chester would be one of the clubs where there would be higher risk of potential trouble kicking off...

Frenchy told me at farsley this needed segregation.... Feels like two points dropped but nice to see us competitive on a good pitch.

Good game, two evenly matched sides. Another point on the board. Off the pitch was not so good. Why on earth was there no segregation?? We need to start segregating every league game, it's the only answer.

Often the same in this division. Chatted with several Chester fans, lovely guys. Then of course at the ground some seriously nasty people. One guy had come for a fight full stop.
Some Banbury bone heads as well, but Chester have arguably the worst reputation in this league. Unfortunately this is one game that should have been segregated.
Good performance on the pitch especially in the 2nd half. Chester yet another team who were no better than us

Should we expect a statement from the board saying “ oops sorry guys we got this wrong , we should of had segregation in place , we’ll learn from it and move on “

Just seen a video clip of the scenes last night, I hope the brain dead morons are really proud of themselves. Having also just read that a Bath City player is in a critical condition after colliding with a barrier these idiots would do well to reflect on their actions not that they will of course with not having a brain cell between them.

Should we expect a statement from the board saying “ oops sorry guys we got this wrong , we should of had segregation in place , we’ll learn from it and move on “ Genuine question - is it for the home club to make the decision on segregation or is it under advisement from the local police?

I was having a good chat to one of the stewards last night and he said it’s the board who make all the decisions on security, segregation etc

Common sense better prevail, odds are there'll be loads of unnecessary police and security for Stowmarket and Bradford who will bring enough to fill a taxi(plenty up there)'
