Love the positivity from AW in his post match interview..
“One of their fans said to me we are celebrating like we’ve won the league, If we keep playing like that we will win the league”
How refreshing for a manager to get caught in the moment and get excited as a fan would, normally managers play things down and read from the same old script, of course it was Abit tongue in cheek, but it’s nice to hear a manager beaming with pride and positivity
Since someone made a comment on here that he only has 1 more chance, we’ve won 3 on the bounce, maybe that comment got pinned up in the dressing room? It’s clearly working, so Aw if your reading this you’ve still only got 1 more game, I’ll get the champagne on ice for May..

I walked the dogs while listening to Andy Whing's interview. He was so happy it was infectious. I was smiling as I strolled along. Sadly with my mandatory face mask on no one could tell. Great result. Very well done.

More from their forum:
"I really cannot fathom the thinking behind the 'Breedon bomb' tactic. I thought we were supposed to have a tactically minded coaching team. The contrast was highlighted in the second half; their keeper rolling the ball out, short goal kicks, receiving return passes. Their midfield knowing where the pass was coming from and more significantly, where they would pass it next. Whereas, our reply was either to hit it long – only once did we win a header from the captain's 'exocet' kicks – or to play in training triangles why someone worked out how to release the ball from it.
"I can only hope that other managers are not as canny as theirs was at half-time in working us out. He completely nullified the threat of Shamsi and Bassett (the latter with a tackle that might have been a warning circa 1978 but should have been a red).
"If I were JG, I'd have them watch the second-half video for a lesson in keeping your shape, being more physical where necessary and being able to change gear in attack." ____________________________
"Game changed after the big divot foul. Should have been red and the yellow seemed to phase us. And did I dream it or did they link arms and give it the full league title celebration at the end?"

Banbury and ‘Physical’ , there’s two words that don’t fit at all. Not going to argue with post match celebrations as this shows the team are together which is something we haven’t seen for a while.

First league win of the season tonight for Nuneaton, 6-2 against St Ives. Shamsi 5 (1 pen) and Kaziboni were the scorers.
