The new owners have "...secured the majority shareholding of Yeovil Town Football Club, Yeovil Town Holdings, and the buy-back rights to the stadium and surrounding land, which we intend to reunite with the trading business in the months to come."
We all know what happens when club and ground are separated...

In an interview with Chief Reporter Stuart Morse, Chairman Jed McCrory reflected on the financial pressures facing non-league Directors today.
A couple of years ago I was quoted in the National papers my fear for amateur and non-league sports I predicted that up to 5,000 sports club could fall into financial despair and if you look around the country unfortunately issues are starting to appear up and down the country.
This time of the year is when non league clubs feel the financial strain particularly at step 3 down as it is intensified by players and agents who are always talking about wage bills and we need an extra tenner or £50 to commit to your club, while the supporters look forward to who their local club is signing to hold the faith of promotion for the following season. Most of the Directors at this level are volunteers and are desperate to deliver to the local supporters in the hope another 50 will turn up if they get that special signing, most Directors are guilty of giving in to the financial demands but do it with the best intentions.
The risk is when you’re pushing wage bills up you’re putting the future of your football club at risk and the local community opportunities for future players for our kids , I always ask myself why would we risk it all ? What for ? Clubs must live within their means and with minimal guidelines by the FA or League what do we expect. We all want to win but we all have a duty of care to insure that the club is run sustainably and professionally to the best of our ability on a financial footing.
In the past well known non league clubs who have gone into administration and phoenixed, yet when they re start they continue to pump the wages up and in turn this inflates the market for payers whilst putting debt into local businesses that work with them. Poor financial control happens at every level of football, someone has to put a control mechanism in that restricts and protects. It’s not fair on volunteers and Directors to be put under pressure to pay the amount of money whilst it's alright for managers when they encourage or frighten the volunteer directors to pay the money and then clear off and or get a job somewhere else and leave the club and Directors to ‘carry the can’ of what they’ve left behind. Personally I think the mangers need to be pulled in line a little bit by Directors but when you’re a volunteer you just want the best for your club and to support your club.
The F.A and The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) keep talking about "we are pumping money into grass root sport " - I know they are I hear you say, but I say where ? Because it doesn’t come to this football club , it doesn’t go into the likes of Hednesford’s so where’s it going ? It has to come into clubs like us, we service 1200 kids a week through our club and we do so much more than just football.
With the greatest respect to the DCMS, English Football League, the F.A and the Southern Prem Board, you need to get people on the Board with skill sets, get more experience peopled around them give them a structure and help them grow because the volunteers at this level are good people, but we need some strength in at board levels that understand grass root football to say there must be financial restrictions. If you can only afford that then only pay that. That’s where it should stop.
Keep the Faith and hopefully you are enjoying the new signings.
